Position: GL Accountant Role Responsibilities: - Responsible for recording financial transactions in the accounting systems for multiple client companies. - Posts customer payments and maintains an up-to-date accounts receivable aging report, as necessary. - Records vendor invoices in client’s accounting system, uses accounting judgement to code expenses to proper ledger accounts, obtains authorization to pay, and schedules payments in automated payable system. - Reconciles bank records to the general ledger accounts, reconciles cash accounts - Processes online payroll and records transactions in proper ledger accounts. - Prepare and reconcile fixed assets, preliminary review of capitalization adjustments. - Perform other accounting tasks as needed by individual clients or associated controller on client - Review trial balance pre-close, and post close after all entries are posted, and raise anomalies to controlling for analysis. Required Experience: - Must be located in ET or CT time zones. - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on involvement in month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and balance sheet reconciliations - Experience working in a team-based or shared services accounting environment, collaborating with or reporting to an Accounting Manager or Controller - Strong working knowledge of accrual basis accounting, including payroll-related entries and adjustments - Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or other cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Intacct) - Willingness to support hands-on AP/AR and transactional work as part of a growing and evolving accounting function - Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication and accountability - Critical thinker with a track record of identifying and implementing process improvements, particularly within close cycles or financial reporting - Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams), including ability to manage and analyze data - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders - Adaptable, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious with a desire to learn and grow across a variety of industries $70,000 - $75,000 a year

We’re looking for a Corporate Accountant to support the controllership team with full-cycle accounting, month-end close processes, financial reporting and audit requests. You will be working with the consolidation and reporting, accounting operations, tax, and the internal controls to assist in the related matters. You bring to the table best practices in technical, operating accounting and audit, have a high level of integrity and are constantly striving to mitigate financial risk. • Responsible for end-to-end project accounting activities, including billing, collections, cash application, expense/vendor processing, and financial reporting for assigned accounts. • Establish projects in FinancialForce by validating Salesforce data and ensuring all supporting documentation (SOWs, POs, and related contract materials) is complete and aligned to billing requirements. • Complete time and materials billing for assigned accounts, ensuring accurate invoices of billable hours and expenses in accordance with contract terms. • Drive collections by tracking invoices in customer portals, reconciling hours and expenses to Salesforce, resolving discrepancies, and partnering with customer A/P to expedite payment. • Manage cash applications by posting receipts, applying payments to invoices, and processing customer discounts and adjustments as appropriate. • Review and process expense reports and vendor invoices allocated to assigned projects. • Prepare revenue and project profitability reports for assigned customer accounts. • Ensure compliance with internal accounting controls and established A/P and A/R policies. • Maintain general ledger integrity through accurate and timely recording of monthly transactions. • Partner with operations to enhance Salesforce functionality and implement automation to improve process efficiency. • Other duties as assigned.
