While the scheduled shift follows a 9/80 (8am-5pm EST), the candidate will be expected to occasionally work extended hours during various project phases. - Responsible for the planning and execution of all Corporate Commodity Negotiation Projects (projects) within the Custom Designed Parts category, which include, but is not limited to: Machined Parts, Cable Assemblies and Printed Wiring Boards. There will be opportunities for cross-training on Electronics category projects as well. - Partner with the Category Management to develop overall project scope, goal, and strategy. - Must collaborate with the Project Administrator to ensure all required documentation is completed in a timely manner. - Determine negotiation team requirements for accommodations (both lodging & facility). The overall project objective is to contract firm, fixed multiyear pricing with various manufacturers and distributors for the procurement community to execute against. Corporate Commodity Negotiation Projects may involve multi-sector participation from across BAE Systems globally. While participants will not report to this position directly, the candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining productive relationships with the various participants to achieve project goals. This is accomplished by following established and approved procurement procedures and policies to provide the best value consistent with quality and service requirements while maintaining good supplier relations.Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Typically, a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or manufacturing engineering with 6+ years of procurement experience with PWBs and/or machined products and/or electronics. - Strong Project Management background with exemplary organizational skills. - Sound interpersonal skills; ability to interface, coordinate and influence all levels of internal and external customers. - Develop and deliver effective written communication in various formats. - Confidently lead discussions and present on various topics to large groups of both internal and external stakeholders. - Ability to manipulate & translate large data sets for targeted audiences. - Sound ethical judgement when interpreting policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations. - Process improvement mindset with attention to detail. - Microsoft 365 Office knowledge (Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint) Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $101398 - $172377 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
