Job Description
Growth Product Manager (Monetization)
Formula
TL;DR We're building products that help people live longer, healthier lives. We need a PM who thinks in unit economics first—not someone optimizing conversion rate at any cost, but someone who understands how pricing, paywalls, upsells, and refund logic affect long-term value. You'll own the entire monetization strategy end-to-end: pricing models, paywall design, upgrade funnels, cancellation logic, and everything in between. You'll work autonomously with a tight team, move fast, and think deeply about how to make our users want to stay and pay more. Disclaimer: Please note, that if you don't have direct experience in subscription-based mobile apps or you are not experienced in in-app monetization flows – we will not be able to proceed with your application. What we are looking for - Unit economics as your first language. You think about pricing and monetization through the lens of LTV, CAC, and how changes ripple through the business. You understand that you can raise conversion "at any cost"—literally—but it might destroy your unit economics. You know the difference and you care about the right metric. - Real experience designing and testing pricing. Price elasticity tests, paywall variations, tiering strategies, upgrade funnels—you've shipped real experiments in monetization. You know how to test pricing in a constrained data environment and draw valid conclusions. - Comfort with the math and the ambiguity. You can calculate sample sizes, understand LTV modeling (even synthetic LTV), and work when perfect statistical significance isn't possible. You're analytical but pragmatic—not a purist. - Experience collaborating on monetization specifics. You understand payment flows, refund policies, dispute/chargeback dynamics, offer sequencing, and how to think about margins. You've navigated the messy reality of subscription economics. - Full-funnel monetization perspective. You think about the whole journey: landing page paywall, initial purchase, upsells in-app, retention, cancellations, refunds. You're not just optimizing the first payment—you're optimizing lifetime value. What you'll do Own monetization strategy and execution. You'll take full responsibility for our pricing, paywall, upsells, and retention economics. You'll set priorities, run experiments, and drive results. - Design and run price elasticity tests, paywall variations, and offer experiments. Test pricing tiers, bundle configurations, timing of upsells—everything that affects revenue and unit economics. - Analyze the monetization funnel: identify friction points (refunds, cancellations, low conversion), form hypotheses, and test solutions. Use Amplitude, BI dashboards, or spreadsheets to find your own insights (conversion-to-purchase, ARPU, LTV, refund rate, cancellation rate). - Work closely with developers and designers to ship paywall changes, pricing logic updates, and upsell flows. You'll translate business ideas into product specs and move things to production. - Think strategically about refund policy, dispute management, and how operational decisions impact both unit economics and customer trust. - Dig into user behavior: understand which cohorts convert, which ones churn early, what correlates with long-term value. Use data and user feedback to inform strategy. You'll be a PM who thinks like an economist and moves like an operator. You may be a good fit if - You bring a proven track record in web2app funnels for subscription-based mobile apps or experienced in in-app monetization flows - You've run real pricing or monetization experiments—and you think about them in terms of unit economics, not just conversion bumps. - You understand how landing page conversion, paywall design, pricing, and post-purchase retention all fit together into a cohesive system. - You've worked in a fast, scrappy environment where you do your own analysis, ask for help when needed, and don't wait for permission. - You're genuinely curious about business mechanics—how subscription services work, why people churn, what makes pricing work. - You're leaving a big company because long cycles frustrated you, or you've been in a startup and loved the speed. Either way, you're hungry for ownership and impact. - You're ambitious and want to grow into strategy and leadership roles eventually. How we hire - Fill in a short form then jump on an initial exploratory call (up to 60 min) - Meet our Hiring Manager – Head of Product Growth (60 min) - We'll send you a take-home asking to present your best work based on our case study - Join us for a case study session with the Hiring Manager (60 min) - Meet of Co-founder (50 min) - Get an offer What We Offer - Inspiring Mission: Help users live longer, healthier lives through innovative products. - Impact: Directly influence company growth with minimal bureaucracy. - Attractive Compensation: Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. - Work-Life Balance: Flexible working hours. - Professional Development: Tuition reimbursement. - Remote Work: Fully remote, with a preference for candidates within ±2 hours of CET. - Benefits: Health insurance, gym membership reimbursement, home office support.

Our culture is all about learning from data and improving, so we can help our clients improve health through AI. Meet the rest of our team here. Our Data We partner with health systems to safely and ethically make their de-identified patient data available to AI developers. Currently, the data is acquired from Sharp HealthCare, Sanford Health, and Texas Health Resources – with two additional U.S. health systems joining soon. We have clinical data dating back to July 1, 2016. This data represents over 10 million patients and includes but is not limited to: - Structured data (e.g., 100% of the EMR, including some claims) - Unstructured text (e.g., clinical notes, radiology reports) - Images (e.g., DICOM, pathology) - Video - Waveforms - Continuous streaming monitoring data Your Role You are an ambitious and experienced Senior Product Manager. As Senior Product Manager – Life Sciences, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for Dandelion’s life science data products. This role is hands-on and strategy-driven, focused on translating market and customer insights into a clear product vision, roadmap, and shipped outcomes. You will lead product discovery and strategy efforts across Dandelion’s life science offerings - identifying high-leverage problems to solve, evaluating opportunities, and making prioritization decisions that balance customer needs, platform scalability, and long-term business impact. You will work closely with commercial, engineering, and data science partners to define product requirements, shape technical approaches, and drive execution from concept through launch. Your focus will be on building scalable, repeatable data products rather than bespoke customer solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning product strategy end-to-end, thrives in ambiguity, and wants to operate at the intersection of life sciences, data infrastructure, and applied AI - with deep ownership over what gets built and why. Finally, you are not afraid to get your hands dirty - this is a small, early-stage company with enormous ambitions and everyone pitches in to do everything. You will report directly to the Head of Engineering. Responsibilities - Define and own the product vision and roadmap for Dandelion’s life science data products, aligning customer needs, technical feasibility, and business strategy. - Lead product discovery and strategic research, including market analysis, problem validation, and targeted customer interviews to inform roadmap decisions. - Identify high-impact opportunities to build scalable data products and applications for life science and clinical development use cases. - Translate product strategy into clear product requirements, success metrics, and prioritization frameworks. - Design and implement AI-enabled automation and workflows that improve data access, analysis, and clinical development processes for life science customers - Partner closely with engineering and data science to shape technical approaches, make tradeoffs, and drive execution from concept through launch. - Evaluate product performance and usage to iterate on features, improve outcomes, and guide future investment. - Stay current on life sciences, clinical development, and clinical AI trends, using industry insight to inform product direction and differentiation. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree - 5+ years of proven experience building data products or platforms for life science or healthcare customers. - Strong product discovery and strategy skills, including leading customer interviews and translating insights into roadmap decisions. - Technical fluency, including comfort working with: - Data infrastructure - APIs and data pipelines - AI / ML-enabled products (no need to code, but must speak the language) - Experience partnering closely with engineering and data teams to deliver complex products. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Comfortable operating in ambiguity and wearing multiple hats in an early-stage company Preferred: - Experience building 0→1 products or taking early products to scale for life science customers - UX or product design experience, with strong intuition for customer workflows and usability. - Prior data science or analytics experience. Team Benefits - Remote work and flexible hours. Availability needed for meetings, which we try to keep to a healthy minimum - Complete wellness benefits including healthcare, dental, vision, PTO, sick days and more. Ask for details - Professional development days to build your skills - Collegial work environment - Academic bent towards inquiry and problem solving but start-up speed and flexibility - Great balance of focus time to work on projects but easy to access team members to discuss issues and work collaboratively - Dandelion is a mission-driven company that is focused on improving patient care
