What you can expect as a Catastrophe Field Adjuster: - Handle the adjusting of the entire claim without the involvement of a Desk Adjuster. - Contact insured(s) to schedule inspection of damaged property, travel to affected property, and conduct such inspections in a timely manner. - Photograph, sketch and scope all damages. - Compose claims correspondence. - Keep insured(s) informed on the claims investigation. - Determine the method and extent of investigation for each claim. - Review and analyze all investigative and claim material to determine the facts of the loss. - Interview insured(s) and witnesses to obtain loss facts. - Document all investigative actions in the claim file. - Analyze the policy to determine the coverage for the loss. - Determine the total value of the claim. - Respond to all questions in a timely manner. - Utilize several software programs throughout the day to determine the parameters of the loss. - Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to resolve various claims related issues as they arise. - Maintain compliance with quality standards and state regulations. - Assist with catastrophe operations as required. - Additional duties may arise as the candidate progresses. Qualifications - A four year college degree is preferred. - Prior insurance experience with an insurance carrier or agency. The Role The Field Resource Nurse (LPN/LVN) is part of Float’s centralized Clinical Resource team. This role provides real-time phone support to independent contractor nurses in the field, helping them troubleshoot workflows, documentation, and therapy-related questions during active visits. You’ll be the first line of contact for Float’s field nurses, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and confident while providing patient care. In this role, you’ll also be reviewing clinical documentation and helping create plans of treatment. This is a great opportunity for a licensed practical or vocational nurse with experience in infusion or specialty pharmacy who communicates clearly, stays calm under pressure, and enjoys helping other clinicians succeed. This is a first-of-it’s-kind role for Float Health as we scale our Clinical Resource Team. You’ll be a part of our inaugural LVN/LPN team. We’re looking for flexible, adaptable team members who will help us further define this role for the future.
