At Safeguard Global, we’re building a suite of connected digital products that help global businesses hire, manage, and pay people anywhere. We’re looking for a Principal Product Designer to join our design team and lead design across multiple product areas. This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll shape product direction, raise the quality bar, and guide a team of designers while staying close to the work yourself. A key focus will be designing intelligent, efficient workflows that help users move through complex tasks with clarity and confidence. As we evolve, you’ll play a central role in how we integrate AI into the product experience not as a layer on top, but embedded in how the product works. From anticipating user needs to simplifying decisions, you’ll help define what that looks like. What you’ll do: - Own and drive design across multiple product teams—from discovery to delivery—setting direction and ensuring quality. - Shape product strategy in close partnership with product and engineering, aligning user needs with business goals. - Design end-to-end experiences and deliver high-quality UI, staying hands-on from concept to implementation. - Guide and support senior designers through feedback, mentorship, and clear direction—helping them grow and do their best work. - Raise the bar for design across the organization, improving quality, consistency, and craft. - Help define and evolve our design practice processes, rituals, and ways of working. - Drive design awareness across the company shifting to a product-led mindset where design sets the bar and keeps us ahead. What you bring: - A strong portfolio that shows both strategic thinking and high-quality execution. - 8–10+ years of experience designing complex digital products, ideally in B2B or enterprise SaaS. - Experience leading or mentoring designers and influencing teams without formal authority. - Confidence working across the full product lifecycle, from ambiguity to shipped outcomes. - Strong communication skills you can clearly explain decisions and bring others along. - A hands-on mindset. You like being in the work, not just talking about it. What sets you apart: - You balance strategy and execution you think big, but care about details. - You’re comfortable leading through influence, not hierarchy. - You’re a systems thinker who sees how decisions scale across products and teams. - You care about building teams, not just products. - You’re excited to help shape the future of design at Safeguard Global. - Experience shaping teams, hiring, or building design culture is a strong plus. Why you’ll love working here: - Work in Any Way: Flexibility in how, when, and where you work. - Global Team: Join a diverse, international group of talented colleagues. - Learning & Growth: Access to learning platforms and development opportunities. - Reward & Recognition: Competitive compensation, annual bonus scheme, and more. - Purpose & Impact: Contribute to meaningful products that empower people and businesses around the world. At Safeguard Global, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and Guardians.
