• Own and manage the full recruitment lifecycle for technical roles • Conduct intake meetings and define hiring strategy with stakeholders • Build proactive sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, Naukri, GitHub, referrals, and niche platforms • Screen and evaluate candidates for technical capability and culture fit • Manage the interview process and ensure a seamless candidate experience • Drive stakeholder alignment and influence hiring decisions • Lead offer negotiations and candidate closing conversations • Provide market intelligence (compensation benchmarks, talent mapping, competitor insights) • Track pipeline metrics and maintain ATS hygiene (Greenhouse preferred) • Continuously improve hiring processes for speed and quality
Job Requirements
- 4 - 8+ years of technical recruitment experience
- Proven experience managing full-cycle hiring independently
- Experience hiring for Engineering, AI/ML, Corporate roles, Data, Security, or other technical roles
- Experience in startup or high-growth environments preferred
- Exposure to India/US/global hiring is a strong plus
- Advanced sourcing expertise (Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, talent mapping)
- ATS experience (Greenhouse preferred)

Our OverDrive autonomy stack enables ground vehicles to navigate and operate off-road in any terrain without GPS or direct operator control. Overland AI has secured funding from prominent defense tech investors including 8VC and Point 72, and built trusted partnerships with DARPA, the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and Special Operations Command. Backed by eight-figure contracts across the Department of Defense, we are strengthening national security by iterating closely with end users engaged in tactical operations. Role Summary: We are seeking a high-ownership, full-cycle Technical Recruiter to help scale Overland AI during a critical phase of growth. This role will be responsible for driving hiring across our technical teams, partnering closely with our internal recruiter, hiring managers and leadership to identify and close exceptional talent. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and brings a strong ability to source, assess, and close candidates for highly technical roles. You will play a key role in shaping how we build the team—balancing speed, quality, and candidate experience. This position can be remote, or based in Seattle, WA. Key Responsibilities: • Own full-cycle recruiting across technical roles, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and closing candidates. • Partner closely with hiring managers to define role requirements, calibrate candidates, and drive effective hiring strategies. • Build and maintain strong pipelines of qualified candidates through outbound sourcing, referrals, and creative engagement strategies. • Develop a deep understanding of Overland’s mission, technology, and culture, and effectively communicate this to candidates. • Drive a high-quality candidate experience through clear communication, speed, and thoughtful engagement throughout the hiring process. • Track and analyze recruiting metrics to identify areas for improvement and increase efficiency across pipelines. • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing guidance on market trends, candidate profiles, and hiring decisions. • Contribute to the development of scalable recruiting processes, tools, and best practices as the company grows. Minimum Requirements: • 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in a high-growth startup or technical environment. • Experience recruiting for software engineering roles (e.g., robotics, autonomy, infrastructure). • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence hiring decisions and build trust with technical leaders. • Experience managing multiple open roles simultaneously with strong organization and attention to detail. • Proficiency with ATS platforms (e.g., Rippling) and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter). • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and close candidates. • Ability to operate with high autonomy while collaborating cross-functionally.
