WireWheel is currently looking for a SOFTWARE ARCHITECT. As a SOFTWARE ARCHITECT, you will oversee the technical effort to build features for our data privacy application. You will participate in every stage of the feature's lifecycle from requirements to release. In this role, you will collaborate daily with other software engineers, testers, UX, DevOps, product managers, and customer support to make sure that we meet customer needs and create the most valuable features. Our engineering team builds and supports a web-based platform that enables companies to run their privacy programs. We are a small, growing team in a true start-up environment. This means you will: - Craft production-quality code using standard development methodologies. - Lead technical discussions including design and code reviews. - Collaborate closely with Product Management and UX to estimate and plan releases, including participating in high-level planning at a roadmap level. - Create automated unit tests with the same development rigor as you would for production software (i.e., reviews, documentation, continuous integration, etc.). - Diagnose customer issues and assist our customer support team as needed. - Demonstrate perseverance while discovering a bug or issue’s root cause. - Report and clearly document issues that you find in our bug tracking system. - Collaborate with a nice, fun and motivated group of fellow engineers on a daily basis. What we’re looking for: - At least (5) or more years of software development experience. - Excellent problem solving skills and a strong desire to learn and grow and the ability to adapt and flex to take on different challenges. - Several years of experience designing and building a feature or set of features. - Several years leading by example by writing clean, efficient, quality code using JavaScript or similar frameworks (Node.js, Python, Golang, Ruby, etc.). - Proven experience using continuous integration processes and systems (Jenkins, CircleCI, TeamCity, etc.). - Experience developing containerized services deployed to cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). - Demonstrable knowledge of programming fundamentals and development methodologies. - A passion for creating quality software that will help protect private data. - Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to create clear and concise written communications. - Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, VueJS, ReactJS, AngularJS, jQuery) - Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js) - Familiarity with databases (e.g, PostgreSQL. • Perform onsite assessments of client facilities throughout North America to identify energy saving opportunities • Analyze existing building systems and collect data on building operation, HVAC, electrical, lighting, controls, and operations to determine energy usage and efficiency • Establish priorities for building renovations • Assess feasibility and help plan implementation of efficiency solutions • Attend project meetings with owners, designers, property managers, and contractors • Establish and maintain on-site contact with building facilities personnel • Provide expert judgment and analyses for conceptual engineering design in order to ensure owner's requirements are fully documented, optimize first cost, and improve energy and water efficiency • Review and verify others' energy savings calculations and guide other staff in the best practices for various energy savings technologies, including lighting, HVAC, fans, pumps, air compression, and industrial process use • Assess or propose commercial-scale renewable energy and CHP systems, supply-side energy procurement strategies, and demand-response technologies • Plan and deliver presentations at meetings and training events for trade allies and customers, clients, and others • Lead and direct the work of consulting external engineers and equipment suppliers • Write control sequences for building management systems • Perform travel-planning as necessary to complete site visits and attend conferences • Perform other duties as assigned

• Manage and execute regional NCA project work relating to product engineering and tooling • Provide technical support on product adherence to specifications and performance • Facilitate capital projects related to lightweighting of aluminum containers • Travel (up to 50%) to off-site production facilities for troubleshooting

Role Description Provide advanced remote technical support to customers by responding to difficult technical inquiries related to large and production critical issues to propose solutions to and/or resolve root causes of cloud network and/or system issues. - Lead and oversee documenting all varieties of corner case scenarios and troubleshooting of workflows in AWS internal knowledge databases. - Create tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical materials for the AWS customer community. - Navigate and configure complex Linux/Windows systems and troubleshoot difficult issues. - Apply advanced knowledge of information science and technology to perform difficult network troubleshooting of Amazon services using tools and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, LAN/WAN, traceroute commands, iPerf, dig commands, and/or cURL. - Execute migrations of existing on-premise environments to AWS Cloud. - Grow clients' existing cloud architecture by onboarding them onto new AWS services and provide maintenance support by providing complex technical assistance. - Analyze product and reports on support performance metrics to measure support success, service performance, and drive customer-facing platform improvements. - Act as a liaison between service development team and support engineering team, communicating customer feedback through tech sync meetings for product and service improvement. - Participate in bug bash events to identify straightforward bugs and improve documentation to support overall customer experience. - Execute customer code assessments and support customers in code development to deploy customer applications on the AWS cloud. Qualifications - A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Networking, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or any related field. - 3 years of experience in job offered or a related occupation. Requirements - 3 years of experience with system administration and troubleshooting any operating system (Linux and/or Windows) and networking (HTTP/s, TCP/IP, DNS, OSI model, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, traceroute, iperf, dig, CURL or related). - 3 years of experience with OS administration (boot process, filesystems) and troubleshooting disk space issues, booting issues, and OS logs. - 3 years of experience with security in Linux (filesystem permissions).
