Role Description Provide advanced remote technical support to customers by responding to difficult technical inquiries related to large and production critical issues to propose solutions to and/or resolve root causes of cloud network and/or system issues. - Lead and oversee documenting all varieties of corner case scenarios and troubleshooting of workflows in AWS internal knowledge databases. - Create tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical materials for the AWS customer community. - Navigate and configure complex Linux/Windows systems and troubleshoot difficult issues. - Apply advanced knowledge of information science and technology to perform difficult network troubleshooting of Amazon services using tools and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, LAN/WAN, traceroute commands, iPerf, dig commands, and/or cURL. - Execute migrations of existing on-premise environments to AWS Cloud. - Grow clients' existing cloud architecture by onboarding them onto new AWS services and provide maintenance support by providing complex technical assistance. - Analyze product and reports on support performance metrics to measure support success, service performance, and drive customer-facing platform improvements. - Act as a liaison between service development team and support engineering team, communicating customer feedback through tech sync meetings for product and service improvement. - Participate in bug bash events to identify straightforward bugs and improve documentation to support overall customer experience. - Execute customer code assessments and support customers in code development to deploy customer applications on the AWS cloud. Qualifications - A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Networking, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or any related field. - 3 years of experience in job offered or a related occupation. Requirements - 3 years of experience with system administration and troubleshooting any operating system (Linux and/or Windows) and networking (HTTP/s, TCP/IP, DNS, OSI model, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, traceroute, iperf, dig, CURL or related). - 3 years of experience with OS administration (boot process, filesystems) and troubleshooting disk space issues, booting issues, and OS logs. - 3 years of experience with security in Linux (filesystem permissions). • Provide engineering support to the Civil Subject Matter Expert Team across multiple project phases. • Deliver responsive engineering support for wind, solar, energy storage, clean fuels, substation, and transmission projects within the Engineering & Construction Department. • Maintain, apply and promote best practices related to civil and geotechnical engineering. • Participate in design and constructability reviews and provide accurate comments and feedback to avoid schedule impacts. • Support resolution of critical execution-phase issues that could adversely affect project budget and/or schedule if not addressed promptly. • Help define and influence project requirements and scope, including assessment of execution risks and development of risk-mitigation strategies. • Perform due diligence related to emerging technologies. • Support equipment and material technical evaluations, including review of manufacturing and fabrication non-conformance reports. • Perform annual specification reviews and incorporate lessons learned. • Provide feedback related to supplier performance and annual report cards.
• Develop and implement supplier surveillance and oversight plans for routine procurements to ensure compliance with quality and technical standards. • Perform verification and acceptance activities to confirm items and services being provided by suppliers conform to Westinghouse purchase order requirements. • Coordinate with external parties to verify Westinghouse suppliers have implemented a Quality Assurance Program aligned with the items/services being provided. • Perform reviews of procurement documents to verify technical and quality requirements have been correctly translated from Westinghouse design documents and Customer contracts. • Follow-up on supplier corrective action, evaluate responses and ensure objective evidence substantiates closure. • Investigate and report on compliance with technical specifications and verify accuracy of procedures, tests and records. • Review inspection and non-destructive test procedures to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. • Perform or observe precision measurements, physical or electrical tests on complex materials, components and systems. • Review bid specifications, licensing write ups, proposals, purchase order requisitions, supplier submittable, and other documentation to verify compliance with technical and Quality requirements for nuclear and non-nuclear components.
