Sigma Defense is seeking a Financial Analyst to support our Finance and Accounting team with compilation of annual budget, contract accounting, invoicing, revenue recognition, analysis of actual revenue to budgeted, forecasting calls, business planning, and Power BI initiatives. Job Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience performing financial analysis.
  • Experience with government contracts and reporting.
  • Experience with government accounting.
  • Experience financial forecasting and developing Estimates at Completion.
  • Experience with JAMIS Prime or similar ERP.
  • Experience working within an operations-facing finance team, acting as a Business Partner to key Operational Managers & Executives.
  • Strong Written and Oral Communication skills.
  • Experience of driving and delivering Business Results.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Personnel Clearance Level:
  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret clearance or higher.
  • Clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.
  • Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business, or related field of study.
  • Job Responsibilities: (Not all-inclusive)
  • Operate as a Business partner to each of the divisions by supporting company level budgeting and forecasting, tracking of actuals against budget, and supporting with variance analysis to understand key drivers of deviations.
  • Manage and oversee the project setup process, invoicing, revenue recognition, and contract accounting.
  • Work closely with the operations team to support customer budgeting, invoicing, proposals, and adhoc requests.
  • Consult to operations as needed on strategy and business decisions.
  • Provide areas where contract leadership team needs to focus to maintain budget and increase margins.
  • Develop reports to provide executive leadership a snapshot of the current financial picture as well as the operations team.
  • Provide expertise in Business Planning and development of Power BI models.
  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 annually
