We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home. Who The Client Is: A well‑established plumbing solutions provider with extensive industry experience, delivering tailored services across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The team combines practical expertise with a strong commitment to craftsmanship, ensuring every job is completed with durability, functionality, and precision. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting multiple jobs to ensure smooth project execution. You will play a key part in helping our projects stay on budget while maintaining quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering plans and specifications confidently - Perform detailed takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment - Prepare accurate and competitive project quotes - Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing and negotiate costs where necessary - Maintain and update cost databases and estimation templates - Support multiple jobs simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising accuracy - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure estimates align with project requirements - Identify potential cost risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them - Track project budgets and provide post-project analysis to support continuous improvement Required Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role, preferably in construction, engineering, or related industries, with experience in Australian construction projects preferred. - Strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze plans and drawings, including plumbing or hydraulic systems. - Proficient in performing takeoffs and preparing detailed estimates and quotes, with strong Excel skills. - Experience working with supplier pricing and managing multiple projects concurrently. - Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. - Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. - Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills. - Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers. - Familiarity with tools like Ascora, Groundplan, Bluebeam, Google Drive, Trello, or similar. - Proficiency in estimating software or tools (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Excel) is a plus.
