About your role Our FarmGuard business is a hands‑on, customer‑driven team supporting New Zealand’s dairy and agricultural industry with smart, practical solutions. Known for their strong relationships and technical credibility, the team works closely with farmers and the broader agriculture industry to solve real challenges and create lasting value. We are currently seeking a Technical Account Manager to join our South Island team to partner with customers across the dairy sector, combining hands‑on technical support with proactive account management and sales activity. This is a remote, home‑based role located in Invercargill, offering autonomy, flexibility and the chance to be truly embedded in your local farming community. Location is stated as Timaru, due to this being the closest Ixom site. Key Responsibilities - Manage and grow customer relationships across an assigned agricultural territory - Drive sales activity from lead generation through to proposal development and deal closure - Act as a trusted technical advisor, providing practical solutions and product expertise to customers - Identify new business opportunities and grow market share through proactive account management - Develop and execute territory and business plans aligned to sales and marketing objectives - Deliver customer presentations, proposals and commercial agreements - Work closely with internal sales, technical and support teams to ensure high‑quality service delivery - Maintain accurate sales, pipeline and customer records using CRM systems - Ensure all work is completed in line with company policies, safety standards and values Who are we looking for? - 4-6 years of experience in the Agriculture or Dairy Farming Industry - A tertiary qualification, particularly in Agriculture or Dairy, will be highly regarded - Strong understanding of customer and dairy/agricultural market dynamics and requirements - Willingness to travel (Role will require significant local travel to current and potential clients and may require occasional overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work) - Demonstrated success in consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets Benefits at IXOM For a start, you'll work for a large global organisation, where you'll not only earn a competitive salary, but you'll also have access to an Employee Assistance Program, a recognition program, and a range of health and wellness benefits and discounts.
