Job Description

Regional Sales Manager

Semsee

• Meet and exceed monthly written premium targets by identifying high-potential agencies, activating new agent relationships, and growing submission volume from existing partners. • Prospect, qualify, and develop new agency relationships. • Educate agents on MAP’s value proposition — access to 75+ admitted and E&S markets through a single platform, with technology that eliminates the re-keying, phone calls, and days-long wait times of traditional wholesale. • Serve as the primary point of contact for retail agents in your assigned territory. • Build consultative partnerships grounded in understanding each agency’s book mix, carrier gaps, and growth priorities. • Conduct regular business reviews with key agency partners. • Increase same-store premium from current agencies through platform training, appetite guidance, proactive outreach on new carrier additions and product launches, and strategic identification of coverage gaps where MAP markets can fill needs their appointed carriers can’t. • Partner with underwriting, operations, product, and marketing to relay agent feedback, surface product opportunities, and ensure a seamless agent experience from quote to bind. • Shape sales processes, messaging, territory strategy, and tools used.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years in commercial P&C insurance — ideally with direct experience in wholesale, E&S, MGA, or binding authority environments
  • Track record of building and growing retail agent relationships, not just maintaining them
  • Experience selling into independent agencies and regional brokerages — you understand how agents make decisions about where to place business
  • Comfort operating in an early-stage environment where process is still being built and your initiative matters more than your title
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — you problem-solve, you don’t wait for permission, and you treat your territory like your own business
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — you can run a compelling meeting with an agency principal and follow up with a clear, concise email
  • Familiarity with small commercial lines (GL, BOP, WC, commercial property, commercial auto) and the agent workflow for placing these risks
  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce) and comfort working in a technology-forward environment

Benefits

  • 70% Funded Medical/Vision/Dental
  • 100% Funded Life Insurance
  • 401k, Roth IRA
  • Generous 12 Weeks Paid Baby Bonding Leave
  • 4 weeks (20 Days) + 9 company observed holidays; Total 29 Days/Year
