The Item Entry Pharmacy Technician plays a crucial role in supporting pharmacy operations by ensuring the accurate and timely entry of medication and supply items into the pharmacy management systems. We ask that you have attention to detail, adherence to regulatory standards, and effective collaboration with pharmacists and other pharmacy staff. Primary Responsibilities: - Enter prescription and inventory information into pharmacy systems, ensuring completeness and compliance with established protocols. - Verify medication details, including drug name, strength, dosage form, and quantity, against source documents. - Assist pharmacists in maintaining updated inventory records and resolving discrepancies. - Review and process incoming orders, ensuring proper documentation and labeling. - Maintain confidentiality of patient and prescription information following HIPAA and company policies. - Support quality assurance initiatives by identifying and reporting errors or inconsistencies in item entry. - Collaborate with pharmacy team members to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer service. - Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with pharmacy practices and technology.
