Role Description This internship is designed for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and interested in how data supports strategy, decision-making, and operational excellence. The Membership Data & Insights Intern will support the Membership team in maintaining and improving data quality within Salesforce, while also helping analyze membership trends and performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, identifying patterns, and improving systems. You will gain hands-on experience with CRM data management and learn how data drives engagement, retention, and strategic planning in a nonprofit environment. The skills you develop — including data management, analysis, and reporting — are highly transferable across operations, business analytics, and program management roles. This is an unpaid internship with a flexible schedule, lasting from May–December 2026. Candidates must be available a minimum of 16-20 hours per week over the summer. Availability during the fall semester is negotiable based on academic schedule and program needs. Senior Web Developer

Role Description The Senior Web Developer (WordPress) is a strategic and hands-on technical leader responsible for the performance, scalability, governance, and continuous evolution of NORD’s web and digital application ecosystem, serving more than one million annual users. This role owns a complex portfolio of digital properties including NORD’s primary website, IAMRARE registry microsites, Membership Portal, and emerging platforms such as NORDCentral. The position combines web engineering, systems integration, product ownership, and cross-functional leadership to deliver secure, accessible, and high-impact digital experiences aligned with NORD’s mission. The Senior Web Developer collaborates closely with Marketing, Programs, Development, IT, and external partners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Own and manage NORD’s web ecosystem, including WordPress platforms and multisite architecture supporting 20+ IAMRARE registry microsites, ensuring reliability, scalability, security, accessibility, and performance. - Lead development and maintenance of websites, including custom themes, plugins, multilingual workflows, and governance standards. - Oversee key digital platforms and integrations, including the Membership Portal (WordPress, Salesforce, Stripe) and NORDCentral, ensuring seamless system interoperability. - Design and maintain end-to-end integration architecture across CRM, payment, and content systems; develop custom applications and internal tools as needed. - Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to improve operational efficiency and digital capabilities. - Lead web initiatives such as microsites, campaign pages, and enterprise CRM integrations, ensuring data integrity, workflow automation, and cross-platform alignment. - Collaborate with Marketing, Programs, Development, and external partners to deliver high-quality, compliant digital experiences. - Manage project timelines, priorities, and resources across multiple initiatives using Agile or hybrid methodologies. - Monitor and optimize website performance, SEO/SEM, UX, accessibility, and conversion rates; develop reporting and dashboards to inform decision-making. - Own CRM and platform integrations (e.g. Salesforce, Stripe), ensuring data integrity, supporting member lifecycle processes, and resolving issues impacting revenue and user experience. - Design and maintain APIs, data pipelines, and ETL processes to support system interoperability and data management. - Supervise and mentor web team members; provide training, manage workflows, and enforce governance for internal contributors. - Ensure compliance with accessibility (WCAG), privacy, and security standards; maintain documentation of systems, processes, and architecture. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience. - 7+ years of experience in web application development in business-critical environments (preferably nonprofit, healthcare, or regulated industries). - 5–7+ years of WordPress experience, including multisite architecture and complex integrations. - Demonstrated experience leading projects and/or supervising staff. Requirements - Advanced knowledge of LAMP stack, HTML5, CSS, PHP, and MySQL. - Deep expertise in WordPress architecture, including multisite and plugin development. - Strong experience with REST APIs and integration architecture. - Proficiency in JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks (preferred). - Experience with Salesforce, Stripe, and CRM/marketing automation ecosystems. - Familiarity with analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Search Console, etc.). - Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows. - Knowledge of data migration, ETL processes, and system interoperability. - Understanding of UX/UI principles and accessibility standards. - Exposure to AI/ML tools and automation platforms (preferred). - Familiarity with healthcare or regulated data environments (preferred). - Strong project management skills (Agile preferred). - Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and mission-driven. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable with repeated outreach and follow-up, enjoys working collaboratively across departments, and is eager to learn about nonprofit development and event sponsorships. This is an unpaid internship with a flexible schedule, lasting from May-August 2026 with flexibility to adjust start and end date based on student availability. What You Will Do - Assist with outreach and follow-up to sponsors and partners regarding conference-related benefits and deadlines. - Track sponsor benefit utilization for NORD’s main conference and ensure accurate documentation. - Communicate with internal departments (marketing, events, programs) to coordinate logistics and deliverables for sponsors. - Update sponsor logos and related materials across conference platforms and collateral. - Maintain accurate records of outreach and benefit fulfillment in tracking systems. - Support the Development team with administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
