What you'll do: - Customer Advocacy & Quality Ownership - Champion the customer experience by designing test scenarios that reflect real-world usage - Identify risks early, challenge unclear or incomplete requirements, and raise quality concerns proactively - Ensure defects are thoroughly documented with root cause analysis and clear customer impact - Drive improvements in key quality metrics, including Defect Leakage Rate Test Strategy & Execution - Design and execute comprehensive test strategies across UI, API, and database layers - Create and maintain high-quality test cases that tell the story of customer interactions - Perform exploratory, functional, and non-functional testing (performance, security, etc.) - Collaborate with engineering and SDET teams to identify and prioritize automation opportunities - Contribute to and leverage automation frameworks (Python/Playwright/pytest) where applicable Technical Leadership & Collaboration - Act as a quality leader within your scrum team and across teams when features span multiple systems - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements and best practices - Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure features are testable, scalable, and aligned with customer needs - Participate actively in Agile ceremonies with a focus on quality advocacy - Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specific product areas Technical Execution & Environment Management - Perform UI, API, and SQL testing in complex, multi-tenant SaaS environments - Use tools like Postman and CLI environments (bash/zsh) for testing and troubleshooting - Work with cloud-based systems (AWS or similar), logs, and distributed architectures - Support testing in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines About you: - 4–7+ years of experience in software quality engineering, ideally in SaaS or FinTech environments - Strong experience testing across UI and API layers, with solid understanding of REST APIs - Proficiency with test management tools (e.g., Qase, TestRail) and defect tracking systems - Working knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages for test automation - Comfortable working in Linux/CLI environments and analyzing logs for troubleshooting - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices - Experience with version control systems like Git (GitHub, Bitbucket) - Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies - Proven ability to mentor others and drive quality initiatives - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues into customer impact - Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation. GENERAL PURPOSE: The MDM Engineer III is responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of configuration processes, procedures, and solutions within the Master Data Management (MDM) platform.
