• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process • Prepare and record journal entries, including accruals and prepaid expenses • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts • Conduct detailed P&L reviews for: coding, department, and location accuracy • Review financial results and provide variance explanations • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data • Collaborate with Revenue Operations to process customer billing through Campfire • Maintain the Accounts Receivable and Cash Sheet on a daily basis • Monitor accounts daily to identify, document, and resolve collection issues • Own the sales tax process: approve sales tax returns in Avalara, monitor states with nexus, monitor ongoing sales tax requirements • Payroll compliance & act as backup for payroll processing • Nurture positive and collaborative working relationships within the finance team and broader organization.

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for various accounting areas including but not limited to: • Commission accruals and deferrals - prepare the accrual, capitalization and amortization of commissions and other contract costs. • Revenue contract review - ensure the accurate review and documentation of non-standard contract language. • Revenue reconciliations - ensure revenue impacts on contract amendments and modifications are accurate and ready to be posted for the month. • Take on new accounting areas as the business scales • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are appropriately supported and in line with GAAP. • Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audits. • Assist with implementing and optimizing accounting systems and tools to drive efficiency. • Develop and maintain ad-hoc revenue reporting. • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, and People teams to support business initiatives and ensure accounting impacts are considered.

The Associate Accountant plays a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization by bridging the gap between traditional General Ledger accounting and active Treasury management. This role is responsible for ensuring balance sheet accuracy, optimizing daily liquidity, and supporting debt compliance through rigorous month-end execution and cash forecasting. The successful candidate will directly impact the company’s ability to predict working capital needs and maintain strong relationships with external auditors and lenders. WHAT YOU'LL DO: - Core Accounting & Month-End: Own the full-cycle GL process for assigned accounts, including journal entries for accruals, prepaid amortization, and depreciation to support a timely close. - Treasury & Cash Positioning: Manage daily bank activity and reporting; initiate wire/ACH transfers and monitor opening/closing cash positions across all entities. - Balance Sheet Integrity: Perform monthly reconciliations for key operational accounts (Inventory, Fixed Assets, Debt) and resolve variances immediately. - Liquidity Forecasting: Update actuals within the 13-week cash flow model to assist the Controller in predicting future working capital needs. - Audit & Compliance: Serve as a point of contact for external auditors and assist in preparing monthly borrowing base certificates or debt covenant schedules. - Process Optimization: Identify and document improvements for accounting workflows to strengthen internal controls and reduce banking fees. WHAT YOU'LL BRING: - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Experience: 0–2 years of accounting or treasury experience (relevant internships included). - Technical Skills: Strong foundational understanding of GAAP (accrual vs. cash basis), Debits/Credits, and advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Data Visualization). - Attention to Detail: Proven ability to reconcile complex data sets and identify discrepancies. - Certification: CPA designation or currently active on the CPA track . - System Experience: Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct) and treasury management software preferred. - Industry Knowledge: Experience in a high-growth environment or with debt-serviced organizations preferred. - Commutable to NJ headquarters preferred
