Senior Accountant
Censys
• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process • Prepare and record journal entries, including accruals and prepaid expenses • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts • Conduct detailed P&L reviews for: coding, department, and location accuracy • Review financial results and provide variance explanations • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data • Collaborate with Revenue Operations to process customer billing through Campfire • Maintain the Accounts Receivable and Cash Sheet on a daily basis • Monitor accounts daily to identify, document, and resolve collection issues • Own the sales tax process: approve sales tax returns in Avalara, monitor states with nexus, monitor ongoing sales tax requirements • Payroll compliance & act as backup for payroll processing • Nurture positive and collaborative working relationships within the finance team and broader organization.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of Accounting experience (startup/scaleup a plus!)
- SaaS revenue recognition ASC606
- Full Cycle Sales Tax experience (from registering with nexus states to filing)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, NetSuite, Maxio and/or other ERP and accounting software (Campfire experience a plus!)

The Associate Accountant plays a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization by bridging the gap between traditional General Ledger accounting and active Treasury management.
