Senior Revenue Accountant

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for various accounting areas including but not limited to: • Commission accruals and deferrals - prepare the accrual, capitalization and amortization of commissions and other contract costs. • Revenue contract review - ensure the accurate review and documentation of non-standard contract language. • Revenue reconciliations - ensure revenue impacts on contract amendments and modifications are accurate and ready to be posted for the month. • Take on new accounting areas as the business scales • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are appropriately supported and in line with GAAP. • Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audits. • Assist with implementing and optimizing accounting systems and tools to drive efficiency. • Develop and maintain ad-hoc revenue reporting. • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, and People teams to support business initiatives and ensure accounting impacts are considered.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA track strongly preferred.
  • 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience; combination of public accounting and private industry is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly revenue accounting (ASC 606), contract cost accounting (ASC 340)
  • Experience working in a high-growth or fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting business needs.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and comfort working in systems such as NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
  • Experience with close management tools, including optimization efforts
  • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.

FELLOWSHIP OFFICE BACKGROUND: The SDG AI Lab is a joint initiative of UNDP BPPS (Bureau for Policy and Programme Support) team, and it is hosted under UNDP IICPSD. The SDG AI Lab provides research, development, and advisory support through cutting-edge digital solutions in harnessing the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for sustainable development. The Lab aims to strengthen the UNDP’s internal and its partners’ capacities for the increasing demand for digital transformation. UNDP ICPSD, UNDP Brazil and Brazilian Space Agency (AEB) will jointly implement the Future Tech Leaders (FTL) Programme in Brazil to raise a new generation of young Brazilian tech specialists to develop AI-led space technologies and enhance the space innovation ecosystem. The Programme will support the country’s efforts to utilize space technologies to contribute to the SDGs by offering up-to-date and gender inclusive trainings. The primary objective of the Fellowship is to develop and implement the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) components within the Space Tech Bootcamp, Community Trainings, and additional relevant activities associated with the Programme. The fellow will play a key role in designing the curriculum for GIS-related modules, ensuring that the educational content meets the needs of participants and aligns with the overall goals of the initiative. In addition to curriculum development, the fellow will be responsible for delivering GIS training sessions, actively contributing to ongoing research efforts, and providing support to the GIS team at the SDG AI Lab.
