About the Role We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the review and validation of compliance training content. In this contract role, you will collaborate with our instructional design team to ensure courses are accurate, up-to-date, and actionable for real-world learners. Your expertise will help translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical training for both frontline employees and supervisors. *This is a contract-based role, with scope defined per course or batch of courses. What You’ll Do - Review course scripts, slide decks, and assessments for regulatory accuracy and completeness - Identify outdated, missing, or unclear content based on current laws and standards - Flag technical inaccuracies or misinterpretations of regulatory requirements - Recommend improvements to clarity, structure, and learner comprehension - Validate alignment between learning objectives and applicable regulations - Ensure appropriate terminology, tone, and real-world relevance - Provide structured written feedback within agreed timelines - Respond to follow-up questions from internal teams - Conduct final accuracy reviews prior to course publication Who You Are: Required Qualifications - Strong expertise in EHS, occupational safety, and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., OSHA, DOT, EPA, or equivalent) - Working knowledge of safety programs, hazard identification, and compliance training requirements across industrial, construction, agricultural, or government environments - Ability to evaluate training content for accuracy, clarity, and practical applicability - Experience working with frontline and/or supervisor-level audiences - Experience in at least one or more of the following domains: - Workplace safety and injury prevention - Hazardous materials or transportation safety - Environmental compliance and waste management - Industrial hygiene or exposure risk mitigation - Regulated testing or safety-sensitive workforce programs Preferred Qualifications - Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM, or similar) - Experience with regulatory inspections, audits, or compliance program implementation - Background in developing or reviewing compliance training programs - Familiarity with California-specific EHS regulations or other state-level requirements - Experience across multiple industries (e.g., construction, logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, or public sector) What to Expect: The interview process at EasyLlama is designed to move quickly based on candidate and team availability.
