The desired candidate will be results-oriented and able to create and execute test scenarios necessary to maintain and enhance enrollment, payment and premium data for Medicare beneficiary enrollments into Medicare Part C and D Plans. This position will perform testing for the CMS Medicare Performance and Payment Systems to support new development and system maintenance of the Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MARx) System. Specific tasks will include: - Define and create test cases. - Perform data analysis and/or system testing to support the MARx program. - Design and implement testing plans. - Assess performance of IT products and services to ensure they meet established quality standard. - Provide cross functional support to help resolve defects and errors in IT products. - Monitor and analyze post-release production activities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of experience creating and executing test cases - Experience documenting and presenting test case results to the client - SQL and experience with databases and data warehouses DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience and knowledge of MARx - Experience with AWS Cloud environment - Experience with the Agile framework. - Experience documenting test cases in TestRail - Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow - Experience with Postgres, MYSQL, Redshift and Jmeter for API - Healthcare benefits experience is strongly preferred. - Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) experience is preferred. This role will collaborate with Security QE to integrate security-informed scenarios (authentication storms, TLS renegotiation abuse, API rate-limit validation) into performance test plans, and surface high-resource-cost endpoints to security for assessment. - Identify and define nonfunctional performance tests for CI/CD pipeline gates (Integration, Regression, Post-Deployment). Work with DevX and Platform Engineering to establish pass/fail thresholds that catch regressions before production. - Contribute to performance engineering standards, runbooks, and best practices within the QE organization. About you: - 3+ years of hands-on performance testing and analysis on microservices-based, cloud-hosted (AWS) SaaS platforms. - Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to move from symptoms to root cause. - Background in statistical analysis: trend modeling, interpolation, extrapolation, and capacity forecasting. - Working knowledge of AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, ECS/EKS), Docker, and Kubernetes. - Experience with performance testing tools (k6, Gatling, Locust, JMeter, or equivalent). - Experience with observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and log aggregation (ELK Stack, CloudWatch). - Scripting proficiency in Python or comparable language for test scenarios, data analysis, and light tooling. Coding experience is a plus, but this role prioritizes performance engineering skill over software development depth. - Comfortable working asynchronously across multiple time zones in a remote-first team. - Fluent in English (written and spoken); Czech language skills are a plus but not required.
