Financial Clearance Representative L2 – OON/Special Coverages

• Use integrated health information systems and telephone technology to facilitate customer interactions • Perform accurate search for patient in EPIC database • Assess patient’s financial ability to pay for services • Send eligibility requests to payors to verify coverage • Provide required clinical, insurance, and demographic information • Verify insurance eligibility via various tools • Request and create referrals as required • Pre-certify and obtain authorization numbers • Contact external companies to verify patient’s information • Work with the Veterans’ Administration to assure services are covered • Provide accurate information to billing and case management

Job Requirements

  • Associates degree or higher, or high school diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience in insurance, healthcare, or related field
