Job Description

Sales Assistant

SSC

• Assist the sales team in managing federal client accounts, responding to inquiries, and tracking follow-up actions. • Coordinate communication between internal departments, including sales, contracts, operations, finance, and customer service, to ensure timely support for government clients. • Prepare, organize, and maintain sales documentation, including quotes, proposals, capability statements, product information, and account records. • Support the preparation of reports related to sales activity, pipeline status, contract opportunities, and customer engagement. • Conduct market research to identify potential federal contract opportunities, agency buying trends, and target accounts. • Monitor public sector procurement platforms and databases for relevant solicitations, requests for information, and bid opportunities. • Maintain accurate data in CRM systems and internal sales trackers. • Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting action items for client and internal sales meetings. • Help coordinate submission materials and administrative requirements for government purchasing opportunities. • Ensure sales files, communications, and supporting documents are complete, current, and compliant with internal procedures. • Provide general administrative support to the sales team as needed to improve efficiency and client responsiveness.

Job Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales support, account coordination, administrative support, or customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
