• Lead the design and architecture of enterprise data platforms using Snowflake and Azure, supporting greenfield initiatives and large-scale modernization efforts. • Define and implement architectural patterns for on-premises to cloud migrations, including ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics layers. • Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to design scalable data models, ELT frameworks, and integration patterns using Snowflake and SQL. • Contribute to data strategy and roadmap development, aligning technical architecture with business goals and analytics needs. • Define and enforce data governance, security, and data quality standards, working closely with compliance and data management teams. • Review architectural designs, data pipelines, and implementations to ensure alignment with performance, scalability, security, and governance best practices. • Support analytics and reporting teams by ensuring Snowflake architectures enable self-service BI and reliable access to trusted data sources.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, cloud data engineering, or enterprise data platform design.
- Deep, hands-on expertise with Snowflake, including architecture design, performance optimization, security models, and large-scale transformation workloads.
- Proven experience leading greenfield data platform implementations and on-premises to cloud migrations.
- Strong expertise in Azure, advanced SQL, and ETL/ELT architecture within enterprise data ecosystems.
- Experience designing and supporting enterprise data strategies, including data governance, data quality, and metadata management practices.
- Strong understanding of analytics enablement and integration with BI platforms such as Power BI or Sigma.
- Familiarity with AI or advanced analytics concepts as applied to data platforms is a plus, but not required.

Here’s what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team requires: The Sr Cloud Architect position is a leadership position in the organization that is responsible for managing multiple consulting and delivery projects, teams/programs. The Sr Architect , provides consulting and delivery assurance of services for clients through a range of internal and external functions. The position of Sr. Cloud Architect is distinguished from Cloud Architect positions by the nature of the engagements or programs involved; deal sizes range from transactional solutions of $2-5M. As a Sr. Cloud Architect the architect is expected to have the experience and background to perform all the duties described below for engagements that are focused on consulting/delivery management within the defined subject matter area, including resource management, deliverables development, project planning and executions, adherence to contract attributes and costing, customer interaction, and other key aspects of solution-based managed services. For a Sr Cloud Architect, these engagements will typically be delivered for North American customers or at the customer location, usually North America based. They are expected to have adequate level skills required for complex deliverable-based, fully outsourced, or extremely large-scale engagements or programs and lead the delivery effort to a larger cross-functional project/program. This role may require up to 25% travel. The ideal candidate will bring their deep expertise in Cloud Services primarily on AWS, Microservices and Serverless architectures, Cloud Native Development, CI/CD and DevOps, presales, delivery, and operational excellence. Perform hands on implementation tasks, and delegate other tasks to the rest of the implementation team. Guide the creation and delivery of project deliverables, ensuring they meet client requirements and adhere to client requirements. Ensure the implementation team maintains a shared vision of the engagement goals.
