Role Description Zilliant is looking for a detail-oriented People Operations Specialist with a strong focus on payroll to join our HR team. In this role, you will serve as a key owner of global payroll operations while also supporting core People processes across the employee lifecycle. You’ll ensure accurate and compliant payroll delivery across multiple countries, while contributing to a seamless and high-quality employee experience. You’ll work closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers. - Own end-to-end payroll processing across the U.S. and international regions (ADP Workforce Now, ADP Celergo, OysterHR), including salary changes, bonuses, commissions, and terminations on a monthly and semi-monthly cadence. - Review and audit payroll data for accuracy and compliance, including severance, sign-on bonuses, retention bonuses, referral bonuses, and merit increases. - Manage ongoing payroll-related audits and processes including 401(k) contributions (weekly), UK pension updates and submissions (monthly), termination reporting, SOC, and benefits-related payroll changes. - Support global payroll cycles including variable/bonus payouts, year-end processing, ACA reporting, EEO-1 reporting, and distribution of tax documents across all countries. - Maintain and update employee records in HR systems, ensuring accuracy across payroll, benefits, and personnel data. - Support the employee and contractor lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding, including new hire paperwork, E-i9, system updates, and employee communications. - Partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and external vendors to resolve payroll issues, improve processes, and ensure compliance with local regulations. Qualifications - Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and data integrity. - Organized and able to manage multiple payroll cycles, deadlines, and global requirements simultaneously. - A proactive problem-solver who identifies discrepancies and drives resolution. - A strong communicator who can partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors. - Process-minded and always looking for ways to improve efficiency and scalability. Requirements - 3+ years of People Operations or payroll experience, with strong hands-on payroll ownership. - Experience with ADP Workforce Now required; experience with ADP Celergo, OysterHR, or similar global payroll platforms strongly preferred. - Knowledge of U.S. payroll regulations and familiarity with international payroll practices. - Experience auditing payroll data, benefits, and tax-related documentation. - Experience supporting broader HR processes such as onboarding, employee data management, and benefits administration. - Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset.
