That doesn’t happen through one-time gifts. It happens through consistent communication, trust, and strong relationships. We are hiring a Donor Relations Advisor to own relationships with donors and turn them into long-term partners in the mission. This role is responsible for staying in touch, meeting in person, and helping donors understand the impact of their giving—while confidently asking them to continue investing in winning. If you enjoy building relationships, being on the road, and having direct conversations about giving, this role puts you at the center of YAL’s fundraising efforts. About the role The Donor Relations Advisor manages a portfolio of donors and is responsible for retaining, engaging, and growing those relationships over time. You will communicate directly with donors through calls, personalized outreach, and in-person meetings. A core part of the role is traveling for donor tours, meeting face-to-face, and building trust that leads to continued and increased giving. This is not a back-office role. You will be expected to talk to donors regularly, meet them in person, and ask for financial support. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal skills, follow-through, discretion, and the ability to understand what motivates each donor and communicate accordingly. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Development and supports both Young Americans for Liberty and the Young Americans for Liberty Foundation. The Donor Relations Advisor works closely with the Donor Relations Manager to deliver a consistent, high-quality donor experience.
