Position Overview: Administrative – Permanent Full Time - Our Vancouver, BC location is seeking a Senior Accountant for Immediate Hire. Zoic Studios is an Award winning VFX company. Partnership, integrity and enthusiasm are our key founding principles. We have offices located in Los Angeles and Vancouver in this creative industry. We are looking for an energetic, high achieving and critical thinking individual who thrives on challenged assignments. Some of our recent credits include 9-1-1, House of Dragon, The Wizard of Oz (Las Vegas Sphere), etc. Job Details: - Responsible for month-end close and reporting. - Assist in compiling FP&A inclusive of annual budget, quarterly forecast, income tax projection, annual tax return and parent-subsidiary consolidation. - Research in various areas inclusive of government programs, tax regulations and other authorities’ guidelines to develop and present proposals to management team to optimize company stakeholder’s benefit. - Handle financial related requests from company management team, government agencies, creditors, bankers, brokers, external accountants and other third parties’ by generating accurate and comprehensive reports. - Review, evaluate and improve processes and controls for accounting and operational procedures. - Other ad-hoc projects as assigned from time to time by Zoic Studios - Supervise 3-4 team members. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting - 3-years or above working experience - Proficiency in Microsoft Suites (especially in Excel). - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Solid problem solving, troubleshooting and critical thinking skills - Organized with excellent attention to detail - High level of proactivity, integrity, dependability and ownership with tasks assigned - Good interpersonal skills and a team player - Film/TV industry experience a plus, but not necessary. Compensation: - Wage: $40-$44 / hour + OT as needed - We offer competitive compensation and benefits including vacation, paid holiday and paid sick days following a 3-month probationary period. Additional information - British Columbia Senior Employees Pay Range: $40 - $44 (The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position) - Candidates MUST be located in British Columbia, Canada and have lived in BC since Dec. 2025.
