• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in accordance with GAAP • Oversee and execute day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, A/R, A/P, credit card reconciliation, invoicing, and payroll • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform month-end/year-end close procedures • Monitor internal controls to ensure compliance and reduce the risk of errors or fraud • Manage collections and vendor payments; resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing • Support external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries • Supervise and mentor staff, as assigned • Support the administrative team and cross-department collaboration • Leverage software tools such as NetSuite and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) to manage financial data • Partner with leadership to analyze financial trends and develop forecasts or budgets as needed • Support development and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and best practices • Respond to internal and external financial inquiries with professionalism and clarity • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial and legal requirements • Proactively recommend improvements to streamline financial processes and reporting • Represent America West’s core values through professional conduct, integrity, and a customer-first mindset • Fulfill other duties as required or assigned by the VP of Finance or executive leadership
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred; however, candidates with experience using Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or QuickBooks Online/Enterprise are also encouraged to apply.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas).
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare accurate reports.
- Must have a successful background (at least 5 years) in all aspects of accounting – including accounting degree, A/R, A/P, payroll, credit card reconciliation, and invoicing - as well as office administration, collections, vendor management, phone, communication, and customer service satisfaction.
- Must possess a keen attention to detail while maintaining data, organizing ledgers, and overseeing the storage of accounting records and other items of confidential information.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize well, and meet deadlines.

Role Description The Senior Accountant supports the Finance department with various key responsibilities, including: - Month-end close activities - Outsourced CFO activities for member offices - Facilitating tax preparation and planning with outside tax firms - Developing and maintaining scalable accounting and business processes - Transactional accounting What you'll do: - Participate in month-end close process across operating and affiliate entities, including reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and financial statement preparation. - Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies, maintaining strong internal controls and addressing discrepancies or irregularities. - Develop, prepare, and maintain financial statement and reporting frameworks for outsourced CFO services under Triad Track. - Partner with member offices to provide financial guidance, best practices, and recommendations on accounting processes, systems, and technology solutions. - Evaluate existing financial and operational processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, and scalability, and lead implementation of improvements. - Assist as the liaison with external tax advisors, facilitating communication, responding to inquiries, and ensuring timely and accurate filings. - Coordinate the collection, organization, and validation of financial documents required by external accounting firms for tax planning and preparation. - Respond to financial inquiries from executive leadership, providing clear analysis and actionable insights; collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis team to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. - Provide ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and project support as needed to drive business initiatives and leadership priorities. - Oversee company expense processes, including credit card management, expense reimbursements, and policy compliance, ensuring timely and accurate processing. - Manage occasional treasury-related activities such as execution of ACH and wire transactions.
