What You'll Do: - You will contribute to high-quality solutions for customers. Author code aligned with internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices. Advocate for alignment with standards through code reviews - Contribute to design discussions and code reviews to ensure alignment as we build and deploy a responsive user interface for our customers using React - Collaborate with the team to develop gRPC and RESTful services in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Design, develop, and maintain automated testing for new and existing features - Assess the impact of software changes to identify opportunities and risks - Collaborate with Application Architects to design technical solutions using design patterns and best practices - Collaborate with Applied Design System team to integrate UX design frameworks - Contribute to documentation to support design discussions - Continuously learn about new tools and technologies We're Excited to Learn More About You We're looking for someone who: Ability to work from an Applied Systems office on an ad hoc basis, with remote workdays for deep work. Your experience should include some or all the following: Associate Software Engineer: - Web development experience creating enterprise software using React - 1-3+ years of professional experience building web applications and web services - Knowledge of Golang, C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, Node JS, Containerization, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL/SQL Server, GCP and Visual Studio Code - Understanding of implementing and consuming gRPC and RESTful services in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Knowledge of Agile frameworks, ideally Scrum, and tools like Jira and Confluence - Exposure into testing best practices - Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD with knowledge of Kubernetes - Ability to communicate in a team-oriented environment to clarify requirements and deliver solutions within committed timelines - Ability to provide feedback on coding standards through code reviews - Knowledge of using Git for commits, code reviews, merge conflicts and release tags - Knowledge of using Copilot using latest models to generate, review, refactor and optimize code - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or CIS, or equivalent work experience - We proudly support and encourage people with military experience, as well as military spouses, to apply.
