• Overall technical responsibility • Lead and further develop the engineering team in the EMEA region • Technical responsibility for the planning, design and optimization of solar PV and BESS projects (utility-scale including agri‑PV and co‑location) • Preparation and approval of technical concepts, layouts, yield forecasts and technical due diligence documentation • Ensure technical quality, economic viability and compliance with standards, norms and regulatory requirements in the respective countries • Evaluation of new components & models (modules, inverters, trackers, BESS systems) • Interface management & collaboration • Close cooperation with the project development teams in Germany, Italy and Poland • Collaboration with internal departments such as Legal, Procurement, Construction Management and Sales • Support in strategic portfolio development • Represent the company at industry conferences, with authorities and partners • Lead, coach and develop the engineering team • Resource planning, budget responsibility and capacity management • Foster an innovation-oriented, collaborative and quality-focused team culture
Job Requirements
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering or a comparable field
- At least 10 years of professional experience in solar PV, ideally complemented by experience in agri‑PV and BESS as well as international experience
- Solid knowledge of relevant standards, grid connection requirements, permitting processes and technical regulations
- Confident use of engineering tools (e.g., PVsyst, PVCase, AutoCAD, GIS, etc.)
- Several years of experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of international collaboration
- Strategic and analytical thinking combined with high self-motivation, sense of responsibility and decisiveness
- Solution-oriented, structured and proactive working style
- Very good German and English skills (C1+). Additional languages such as Italian or Polish are a plus.
