• Execute full-cycle accounting and tax preparation for sophisticated group structures, including interconnected family trusts, companies, and high-net-worth individuals. • Analyze and reconcile inter-entity loans and movements of funds across complex groups to ensure absolute accuracy in tax positioning. • Prepare tax returns and financial statements while staying ahead of strict Australian statutory deadlines and quarterly reconciliation cycles. • Identify anomalies in client data and proactively resolve them; you are expected to look "beyond the numbers" to understand the business logic. • Utilize MYOB (primary), Xero, BGL, and QuickBooks to maintain clean, efficient, and audit-ready files. • Continuously improve back-office workflows to ensure maximum efficiency in the production cycle.

Job Requirements

  • 5–6 years of dedicated experience within an Australian Public Practice firm.
  • Proven mastery of the Australian tax system and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with MYOB (essential), Xero, BGL, and QuickBooks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-entity groups and understand the nuances of trust accounting and tax planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CA or CPA qualification (or progress toward) is highly regarded.
  • Preferred skills: Experience with Self-Managed Super Fund administration and compliance.
  • An "investigative" mindset—the ability to spot a missing transaction or a misplaced figure before the software flags it.
  • Strong internal communication skills to provide brief, clear updates to leadership.
