National Account Manager – Grocery

• Manage relationships with key buyers and category managers • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned retail accounts • Develop and execute joint business plans that drive growth for both the retailer and the brand • Drive new item placements and expand product assortment within key accounts • Identify opportunities for increased shelf presence and incremental distribution • Support successful launches of new products across retailers • Develop retailer specific strategies to maximize value • Plan and execute retail promotional calendars and merchandising programs • Manage pricing strategies, promotions, and trade investments • Partner with retail teams to support in-store programs, endcaps, and key retail events • Own promotional spending and budget - ROI based • Track sales performance, velocity, and inventory levels across accounts • Use retail data and insights to identify growth opportunities and optimize performance • Work closely with operations and supply chain to ensure strong in-stock performance • Partner with marketing on retail launches and key merchandising initiatives • Provide insights from retail partners to inform product development and growth strategy

Job Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in CPG sales or retail account management
  • Experience managing Grocery accounts (Wegmans, HEB, Hyvee, Alberstons ect)
  • Strong understanding of retail promotions, trade spend, and merchandising programs
  • Experience with KeHe and UNFI and their perspective supplier portals
  • Experience managing large-scale retail programs and inventory planning
  • Demonstrate ability to navigate complex retail organizations and build strong buyer relationships
  • Ability to collaborate with external vendors
  • Analytical mindset with strong experience using retail sales data
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast paced environment
  • Strong personal ownership

This role will play a critical role in strengthening relationships with researchers, editors, and research institutions in China.
