The Vice President is responsible for execution of end-to-end post trade operations across trade confirmation, settlement, and fund accounting for Taiwan. This role acts as a critical partner to Trading, Portfolio Management, and Business Operations, ensuring operational excellence, risk management, and scalability to support ongoing business growth and market expansion. The role requires strong market expertise, stakeholder management, and a proactive approach focused on enabling the business while maintaining a robust control environment. Role Responsibility - You will be the primary Investment Operations contact for Taiwan funds, supporting internal partners and working alongside Trading, Portfolio Manager, and broader Business Operation team. - Perform trade confirmation and settlement activities, engaging with brokers, custodians, and counterparties to ensure timely settlement and minimize trade failures. Investigate and resolve settlement issues and failed trades, performing rootcause analysis and driving effective remediation. - Support account opening, registration, and static data setup with brokers, custodians, and market infrastructures. - Supervise and manage corporate action processing, including income events, elections, instruction issuance, and confirmation with custodians and counterparties. Partner with Portfolio Manager to option all corporate action elections accurately and on time. - Be responsible for daily fund accounting controls, including NAV review, tolerance checks, reconciliations, pricing validation, and AUM verification in partnership with outsourced fund administrators. - Maintain detailed understanding and compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements. Prepare and deliver regulatory, management, and adhoc reporting to internal and external partners. - Collaborate with BlackRock Fund Administration teams in Edinburgh to ensure process consistency and optimal resource use, providing comprehensive control and administrative duties such as daily NAV review, tolerance checks, and invoicing. - Participate in periodic reviews and updates of operating models and service level documentation to reflect optimal working practices - Support cross functional operations across Transaction Management, Corporate Actions, and Fund Administration, ensuring continuity and scalability for the Taiwan business. - Contribute to operational change initiatives, new product launches, and business expansion projects. - Escalate material risk items and service issues promptly and appropriately.
