Summary of Position This role supports embedded electronic design and the product development lifecycle. The engineer will contribute to both hardware and firmware activities, participating in design, testing, and troubleshooting from concept development through production. The position involves close collaboration with cross‑functional global teams to deliver reliable, high‑quality products. Required Qualifications - BS in Electrical Engineering. - 0 to 2 years of experience in embedded hardware development. - Foundational experience with circuit design including component selection, circuit design, and circuit analysis. - Exposure to embedded firmware development for microcontrollers, including basic design, testing, and debugging, and use of Arduino for prototyping. - Experience with schematic capture, BOM generation, and PCB layout for prototype development. - Ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced development environments with evolving requirements. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. - Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration. • Prepare and review engineering design change packages to install, replace or upgrade existing plant equipment to ensure long-term equipment reliability • Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations in support of design change packages, including AC and DC power studies, short circuit, cable ampacity, voltage drop, breaker coordination, motor starting and protective relay settings • Prepare and review equipment procurement specifications • Participate in bid review evaluation process for potential equipment vendors, to include supporting vendor requests for additional information, developing responses to vendor questions, and maintaining a tracking mechanism for questions/responses • Prepare and review scoping documents for conceptual designs, to include constructability reviews • Interface with project team members from other engineering and design disciplines (Mechanical, Structural, Civil, I&C) • Interface with the client in support of the project, including implementing personnel • Interface with vendors to perform document reviews and provide written comment • Attend client meetings and site field walkdowns to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction • Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs • Support site installation activities during project implementation • Assist the S&L project manager to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget • Responsible for overall technical, financial, and administrative performance of the engineering scope

Description Dialectic is a full-service mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering design and consulting firm with Headquarters located in the Crossroads of Kansas City, Missouri. Dialectic has a reputation for delivering inventive, flexible, and sustainable MEP designs for clients across the US. The Electrical Engineer/Designer will collaborate will with staff to create accurate technical drawings and contribute to the overall design process for our MEP Engineering firm which focuses on the design of systems for business, retail, housing, education, and entertainment industries. This position can be considered for a remote role. Key Responsibilities: - Performs calculations and designs engineering systems with a high degree of independence - Prepares basic to advanced electrical system layouts, detailed drawings and schematics - Coordinate design requirements and decisions with other disciplines, BIM department, and project management - Performs research and makes recommendations as to the feasibility of systems or equipment.
