Associate Design Engineer
Valmont Industries, Inc.
• Responsible for the structural analysis and design of standard products to be quoted and fabricated by the Valmont Utility Division, Steel Group • Analyzing and designing structures by Finite Element Method and other structural design software to appropriate codes • Interpreting customer specifications, customer needs, and market/sales needs • Communicating engineering data to customers both internal and external • Assisting with pricing and quoting information as it relates to engineering • Performing analysis and design of standard products, with support of senior level engineers
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other related engineering field with up to 2 years of experience
- Technical competence in structural engineering
- Strengths in interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt and professionally communicate with a variety of people
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to solve complex problems with high attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment, subject to specific deadlines
- Engineer-in-Training Certificate (Highly Qualified)
- CAD skills (Highly Qualified)
- Knowledge or understanding of computer programming (Highly Qualified)

ADB is seeking a Level II Designer, OSP to provide utility fiber route designs within the OSP Engineering team. This position will work closely with the engineering and construction team to provide quality mid-level designs of aerial and underground fiber installs. The ideal candidate will be safety focused, customer and quality centric, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude.
