Role Description AVER is seeking a Data Analyst to support a long-term program within Homeland Security. The mission is to increase data-driven decision-making by developing and integrating analytical tools for multiple audiences. As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for: - Gathering information from various sources and assembling the information into comprehensive work products (i.e. dashboards, reports, briefings, etc.) for leadership's information. - Synthesizing large data sets and creating visually appealing charts, graphs, reports, and dashboards. - Identifying and implementing model enhancements, documenting and understanding workload drivers, and incorporating forecasting and scenario analysis. - Collecting, maintaining, and updating operational data from SMEs and systems of record. - Collaborating with team members, clients, and project stakeholders to collect and analyze data. - Maintaining and updating data from client programs and systems of record. - Structuring and transforming data sets to find usable information. - Using graphs, charts, infographics, and other methods to visualize data in meaningful ways. - Designing and developing interactive, impactful dashboards that enable clients and stakeholders to make data-driven decisions through insights, forecasting, and scenario analysis. - Creating presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings for internal, client, and client stakeholders. - Working with team members, clients, and others to identify and implement data models, dashboard, and report enhancements.
