THE POSITION This position is to select an intern who will be responsible for supporting the Data Services team with planning, coordinating, and executing internal reporting projects. The Intern will work closely with a Product Manager on Data Services to design, build, and test reports and datasets using Power BI, Power BI Report Builder, and SQL. The Intern is expected to deliver updates on project progress and support/modify existing reports and data processes with support and guidance from management. Additional tasks include attending relevant meetings, to be managed in a professional manner. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Collaborate with the Director of Data Services to support reporting and analytics initiatives - Design, develop, document, and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI and Power BI Report Builder. - Work with SQL to build, validate, and optimize datasets to support reporting needs. - Review current reporting and data processes to determine scope of work and identify opportunities for improvement. - Develop repeatable processes that improve the efficiency and consistency of reporting projects. - Manage assigned tasks effectively, with strong organizational and communication skills. - Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency, visibility, and alignment across workstreams. - Provide feedback to the Director of Data Services to improve overall reporting processes, and escalate any critical issues as needed. JOB QUALIFICATIONS - Completion of coursework in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate data and make decisions quickly and effectively. - Experience with or coursework in Power BI, SQL, or other data visualization/analysis tools preferred. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments. - Must be able to work remotely in a professional setting - Ability to manage multiple tasks within defined timelines. - Strong organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
