M&A Analyst
Wahed
• Wahed is seeking a high-calibre M&A & Fundraising Analyst to work directly with the Founder & Chairman on global capital raising, strategic M&A, and corporate development initiatives. • The Analyst will act as the Founder’s analytical right hand, owning financial analysis, investor materials, M&A evaluations, and transaction execution support across live deals. • Prepare, update, and customize investor pitch decks for different audiences (VCs, strategics, family offices, sovereign funds, banks). • Maintain detailed investor tracking and CRM-style Excel models, covering: Outreach status, Meetings and investor feedback, Follow-ups and next steps, Due diligence requests and timelines. • Prepare post-meeting materials, investment memos, and follow-up analyses. • Support valuation discussions, dilution analysis, and fundraising scenarios. • Identify and screen strategic acquisition and partnership targets across fintech, wealth, payments, and adjacent verticals. • Build financial models for: Acquisitions, Minority investments, Joint ventures. • Conduct valuation analysis using DCF, trading comps, and precedent transactions. • Support end-to-end deal execution, including: Investment and IC memos, Term sheet analysis. • Coordination with legal, tax, and external advisors. • Own and maintain core group financial models, including: Revenue and AUM growth, Unit economics and cohort analysis, Country- and product-level projections. • Prepare scenario and sensitivity analyses for board and investor discussions. • Benchmark Wahed against global fintech and asset management peers. • Manage investor and M&A data rooms. • Coordinate and respond to due diligence requests from investors and counterparties. • Maintain cap table models, shareholding summaries, and transaction analyses. • Prepare board-level and founder-level analyses. • Support ad-hoc strategic initiatives, partnerships, and market expansion work. • Act as a trusted analytical partner to the Founder in live deal situations.
Job Requirements
- 2–6 years experience in one or more of the following: Investment Banking, Private Equity / Venture Capital, Corporate Development, Strategy or Transaction Advisory (Big 4)
- Hands-on experience in fundraising, M&A, or live deal execution strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel-based financial modeling
- Strong PowerPoint / Google Slides with investor-grade output
- Excellent analytical, structuring, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Extremely detail-oriented and execution-focused
- Comfortable working directly with founders and senior stakeholders
- Flexibility required (UK / US / GCC overlap)
- High ownership, discretion, and reliability
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
- CFA (Level I / II / III or in progress) preferred
- Exposure to fintech, asset management, or financial services preferred
- Familiarity with Islamic finance preferred
