Field Service Engineer – Material Characterisation

• Performs field service and routine maintenance as required by using the available systems • Provide onsite user training on defined product groups • Performs service on behalf of PerkinElmer overseas offices • Ensures that all documentation, circuit diagrams, Service Data Bulletins and manuals are of the correct revision • Maintains ancillary documentation e.g. Safety Manual, Procedures Manual to the highest standard • Align personal working practices with the department’s performance targets • Maintains personal service spares issued and inventory records to the highest standard • Ensures all anomalies are quickly and effectively reported and resolved • Ensures that all tools and test equipment is adequate to perform service required • Makes returns of all fully completed service documentation, Service Reports, Time Sheets, Expenses Claims, Motor Vehicle Log Sheets etc, on a weekly basis • May be requested to perform specific and agreed tasks as defined through the Goal statements
Job Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Science, or another suitable or compatible discipline
- Minimum 3 years experience in a related Field Service role, or similar field
- Full clean driving License
- Proficient English required, good Dutch and/or French preferred

• Responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction. • Fosters positive customer relations and a high degree of customer satisfaction by communicating effectively with customers. • Installs, repairs and maintains equipment in the field; provides customer training as required. • Must be able to respond to emergency and non-scheduled calls for service within established response time goals. • Completes all scheduled maintenance within required deadlines. • Documents all inspections, maintenance, repair work and submits paperwork in a timely basis. • Conducts follow up calls with the customer to ensure satisfaction of work. • Mentors lower level FSTs in order to improve their skill and knowledge of the equipment.
