Director Analyst – IT Service and Sourcing Strategies Negotiations

• Write high quality, clear, actionable, research content (research notes, presentation slides) in both Japanese and English. • Review and give insights and advice on proposals and contracts created by IT software and Services vendors, particularly for the Japanese market. • Conduct research and analysis in IT Services and Sourcing Strategies planning and executions. • Deliver high quality actionable advice through a variety of media. • Predict how IT services and Sourcing Strategies will develop, help clients in their negotiations and Remain ahead of the curve on developments and trends with overall IT Services and Sourcing negotiations and contracting Strategies. • Provide high quality and timely internal research review and feedback. • Provide mentorship and support team members. • Lead or participate in research community meetings to discuss research issues and collaborate with peers. • Demonstrate thought-leadership in establishing research positions across a team of analysts. • Respond to client questions, create materials for and deliver to clients in person, via teleconference, video conference or webinar and event presentations. • Create and deliver high-value presentations at our events and in small groups of clients and/or prospects.
Job Requirements
- Subject matter expertise in contract negotiations including reviewing IT services vendor proposals
- Understanding of the negotiation and contracting trends in the IT services market.
- Experience with global and local large IT Services vendors such as IBM, Accenture, Fujitsu, NTT Data, Hitachi, NEC is desired.
- Ability to analyze the impact of technology such as AI on business models, contracting and pricing models of IT Services providers
- Ability to work on a multi-cultural global team.
- Demonstrated superior analytical skills, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns while drawing and defending conclusions.
- Strong business and financial acumen as well as analytical skills are required for this position.
- Articulate and succinct communication skills.
- Fluency in Japanese and English is required with strong writing skills in both.
- 15+ years of experience in IT Service contract negotiations, technology procurement, category management, vendor management within a buying organization, outsourcer, consulting firm or reseller.
- Bachelor's or equivalent experience, Master's degree preferred.
- Ability to conduct occasional travel (usually no more than 25%), regionally and globally.
