Lead Power Systems Engineer, Grid Integration and Stability
General Electric - GE
• Perform technical analysis related to power electronic and power systems control of renewable generation, battery energy storage systems, large industrial drives and FACTS • Support customers with power systems engineering expertise; including modeling, analysis, equipment design and specification, and failure mode analysis • Create, modify and parametrize simulation models representing GE Vernova inverter-based resource (IBR) products like wind turbines, solar and battery storage • Evaluate grid code compliance standards and their impact on renewable energy projects in bulk power systems • Support development of transmission and distribution connected IBR and distributed energy resource (DER) products for evolving codes and standards through participation in industry standards groups • Perform power system transient studies, and detailed equipment modeling using appropriate software tools • Effectively communicate results to both internal and external customers by preparing detailed written reports and presentations describing analyses performed, solutions developed, and customer value propositions • Enhance industry knowledge and present technical content in regional forums and conferences; serve as a thought leader in industry activities • Actively participate in a working environment where teamwork, quality, customer service and innovation are important
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or electric power engineering
- Minimum three (3) years of industry experience performing transient analysis using simulation tools like PSCAD/EMTDC and EMTP
- Minimum three (3) years of industry experience with the use and application of common programming languages (e.g. Python, MATLAB, FORTRAN)
- Strong background in power system analysis
- Solid understanding of inverter-based resources (control system) design and application considerations
- Willingness to travel for supporting project work, meeting team members, attending industry standard working group meetings and conferences (up to 10%)

Role Description RYZ Labs is hiring for a Data Center Electrical Engineer to design, operate, and maintain critical power systems, ensuring reliable, resilient uptime. Experience with UPS, generators, switchgear, and PDUs required. On-call rotation. - Design and maintain MV/LV distribution: switchgear, UPS, PDUs, ATS/STS, grounding, and bonding. - Manage power reliability: capacity planning, load balancing, redundancy (N/N+1/2N), and power quality. - Troubleshoot faults and perform root-cause analysis; implement corrective actions. - Plan and execute preventive maintenance, testing, and commissioning (IR scans, breaker, and battery testing). - Develop one-lines, as-builts, and SOP/MOP/EOPs; ensure code and safety compliance (NEC, NFPA 70/70E, OSHA). - Coordinate vendors/contractors; deliver upgrades and lifecycle projects with minimal downtime. - Monitor via BMS/SCADA/DCIM; track KPIs and risks.
