Role Description RYZ Labs is hiring for a Data Center Electrical Engineer to design, operate, and maintain critical power systems, ensuring reliable, resilient uptime. Experience with UPS, generators, switchgear, and PDUs required. On-call rotation. - Design and maintain MV/LV distribution: switchgear, UPS, PDUs, ATS/STS, grounding, and bonding. - Manage power reliability: capacity planning, load balancing, redundancy (N/N+1/2N), and power quality. - Troubleshoot faults and perform root-cause analysis; implement corrective actions. - Plan and execute preventive maintenance, testing, and commissioning (IR scans, breaker, and battery testing). - Develop one-lines, as-builts, and SOP/MOP/EOPs; ensure code and safety compliance (NEC, NFPA 70/70E, OSHA). - Coordinate vendors/contractors; deliver upgrades and lifecycle projects with minimal downtime. - Monitor via BMS/SCADA/DCIM; track KPIs and risks. Qualifications - Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. - 5+ years with data center/critical facility electrical systems. - Hands-on with UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, ATS/STS, and battery systems; ETAP/SKM for short-circuit/coordination/arc-flash studies. - Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE standards; commissioning experience. - Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and vendor management; able to support after-hours/on-call. - Preferred: PE, NFPA 70E, CDCDP/CDCEP. • Responsible for maintaining the electrical and electronic equipment onboard the ship.

• Design electrical systems including LV distribution, lighting, fire alarms and control systems. • Produce drawings, schematics and technical specifications. • Conduct load calculations, cable sizing and fault level studies. • Provide engineering support during installation, testing and commissioning. • Review contractor designs and materials. • Support project handover with as-builts and O&M documentation. • Perform site surveys and inspections. • Oversee testing and commissioning of installations. • Ensure compliance with BS 7671 and relevant standards. • Liaise with clients, consultants and multidisciplinary teams. • Attend design and project meetings.
