Data Center Electrical Engineer
Ryz Labs
• Design and maintain MV/LV distribution: switchgear, UPS, PDUs, ATS/STS, grounding, and bonding. • Manage power reliability: capacity planning, load balancing, redundancy (N/N+1/2N), and power quality. • Troubleshoot faults and perform root-cause analysis; implement corrective actions. • Plan and execute preventive maintenance, testing, and commissioning (IR scans, breaker, and battery testing). • Develop one-lines, as-builts, and SOP/MOP/EOPs; ensure code and safety compliance (NEC, NFPA 70/70E, OSHA). • Coordinate vendors/contractors; deliver upgrades and lifecycle projects with minimal downtime. • Monitor via BMS/SCADA/DCIM; track KPIs and risks.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years with data center/critical facility electrical systems.
- Hands-on with UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, ATS/STS, and battery systems; ETAP/SKM for short-circuit/coordination/arc-flash studies.
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE standards; commissioning experience.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and vendor management; able to support after-hours/on-call.
- Preferred: PE, NFPA 70E, CDCDP/CDCEP.
