Senior Systems Engineer
Red Canyon Engineering & Software
• Join the Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) Ground Sustainment Services (LGSS) program • Sustain and enhance the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) Common Ground System (CGS) • Implement JPSS Program command, control, and communications and data processing requirements for JPSS CGS-serviced missions • Contribute to NOAA’s mission to understand and predict changes in weather, climate, oceans, coasts, and space environments
Job Requirements
- 4-9+ years of experience in integration and test of enterprise-information systems with a focus on Command and Control and completing test verification and validation on those delivered systems.
- Hands-on experience of test or integration of Software developed in C++, Java, JavaScript, SQL Server, and No SQL
- Familiarity with Windows and LINUX systems.
- Experience in mapping requirements into Test Procedures and development of detailed Test Procedures.
- Conducted verification testing of a deployed/integrated software/hardware based system as a member of a team.
- Knowledge of existing NOAA Supported Satellite Command and Control Software such as OS/COMET or JPSS CGS knowledge.
- Experience supporting large scale test execution events while employing traditional I&T test approaches (i.e. RVTM, Meaningful Test Metrics, Test Reporting)
- Familiarity (ideal but not required) with the NASA/NOAA SE processes
- Experience in cross functional disciplines to include (RMA, SMA, Systems Security, Metrics, Trade Analysis, Mission Systems, Integrated Logistics)
- Familiarity with JIRA for work tracking and planning activities.
