Director Product Manager, Data Governance – Lineage

Cloudera

• Define and own the SaaS & On-Prem roadmap for Cloudera Octopai’s Data Governance and Lineage platform within the Unified Data Fabric strategy. • Partner with engineering to design and scale a cloud-native SaaS platform with strong performance, reliability, and compliance. • Lead go-to-market alignment, collaborating with sales, field, and marketing to position the SaaS product effectively and drive growth. • Translate complex enterprise use cases into product capabilities for metadata harvesting, lineage visualization, and catalog integration. • Drive connector coverage and interoperability across BI, ETL/ELT, and data storage systems. • Collaborate with UX and engineering to ensure seamless usability and workflow efficiency. • Partner with customers and field teams to validate use cases, prioritize features, and support adoption. • Use agile methodologies to drive product delivery, feedback loops, and continuous innovation.

Job Requirements

  • 8 years of product management experience in SaaS or cloud-based enterprise software, preferably within data governance, metadata management, or analytics.
  • Proven experience defining and scaling SaaS & On-Prem products across multiple cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Strong technical understanding of SaaS & On-Prem architecture, deployment, operations, and telemetry.
  • Deep understanding of technical data lineage, metadata extraction, and data catalog frameworks.
  • Experience with connectors and integrations across diverse data ecosystems (ETL/ELT, BI, databases, data lakes).
  • Proven collaboration with field, customer success, and engineering teams in an enterprise context.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and prioritization skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into business outcomes.
  • Experience with usage analytics and in-product telemetry for SaaS optimization.
  • Familiarity with RBAC, compliance, and governance frameworks for enterprise data products.
  • Experience collaborating with global enterprise customers and partner ecosystems to support complex deployments.
  • Awareness of cost management, scalability, and operational metrics in SaaS infrastructure management.
