Job Description
Principal Architect
CI&T
• Design Headless/Composable Commerce architectures, decoupling front-end experiences (React/Next.js) from backend systems (SAP Hybris) using BFF (Backend for Frontend) patterns. • Define API strategies using Azure API Management to orchestrate calls between CMS (Amplience), Commerce Engines (Shopify/Salesforce), and ERPs. • Architect modern Data Platforms using Databricks and Delta Lake on Azure. • Oversee the migration of complex logic (e.g., Alteryx/Excel/SQL) into standardized PySpark and Delta Live Tables pipelines. • Define Data Governance standards (Unity Catalog/Microsoft Purview) and ensure data quality through automated validation frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations). • Champion DevOps culture, CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). • Drive the adoption of AI-Augmented Development (e.g., Agentic AI, Copilots) to accelerate discovery and delivery.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Solution or Enterprise Architect in large-scale environments.
- Solid experience with Node.js and/or Python development ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Experience with Databricks (Lakehouse architecture) and Data Engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with Headless Commerce principals (Next.js, CMS integration, API gateways).
- Familiarity with ERP integrations (Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP).
- Ability to map technical solutions to business KPIs (e.g., reducing operational complexity, improving billing accuracy, increasing site performance).
- Nice to have:
- Knowledge of SAP Hybris or Alteryx (to understand the legacy systems being replaced).
- Experience with "FinOps" to evaluate and optimize Cloud costs.
- Experience with GenAI tools for code generation and legacy code analysis.
