Procurement Specialist

CSG

• Provide support for indirect IT and services spend including hardware, software, SaaS, cloud, consulting and professional services, and maintenance/support, generally low‑cost, high‑volume transactions • Negotiate business and pricing terms in collaboration with Legal and Business Owners for low‑to‑mid‑complexity transactions, within established guardrails, to help optimize total cost and value for CSG • Facilitate supplier onboarding activities as needed before finalizing transactions, including confirming that required documentation and system setups are in place • Obtain, validate, and update supplier quotes; provide quote information and options to internal requestors and service owners, and ensure that selected options are accurately reflected in purchase orders • Fulfill renewal orders with existing suppliers (e.g., term licenses, maintenance and support) by tracking expiration dates, initiating renewal discussions, and completing associated purchasing activities to avoid service interruptions • Ensure day‑to‑day procurement activities comply with Finance, Legal, and Procurement policies, procedures, and approval frameworks • Maintain and use a calendar of key contract dates (e.g., maintenance, support, and term license expirations and termination notice periods) to proactively trigger renewals, terminations, or changes • Provide coverage and timely support for stakeholders across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas, coordinating with colleagues as needed to manage time zone differences and business priorities • Create and track savings and cost‑avoidance opportunities associated with renewals, competitive quotes, and negotiations in support of the company’s financial targets • Use procurement workflow and efficiency tools to initiate work, track status, and keep internal requestors and other stakeholders informed of progress, while maintaining accurate procurement and master data in purchasing and contract management systems • Support senior procurement staff, as requested, on sourcing events (e.g., RFx) by helping gather requirements, compile supplier responses, and organize basic price and non‑price comparisons

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2–3 years’ experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a closely related field
  • Experience supporting indirect and/or IT procurement (hardware, software, SaaS, cloud, services) is preferred
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple requests and manage workload to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to report on spend, savings, and deal metrics and to interpret data for basic analysis and decision‑making
  • Comprehension of business terms contained in legal contracts (e.g., price and price structure, license metrics, intellectual property, services, and data protection) and willingness to develop deeper knowledge over time
  • Basic understanding of total cost of ownership (TCO) concepts, with the ability to consider cost, quality, risk, and service when comparing supplier options
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and human relations skills, with a service-oriented mindset toward internal requestors and external suppliers
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Proficiency with enterprise procurement and productivity tools, including purchasing/ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Financials, Ariba), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), contract management software (e.g., Conga or equivalent), and workflow/intake tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, BMC Helix or similar)
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in English with stakeholders and suppliers across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.

Equipment types will include High Voltage Substations, Medium Voltage Switchgear, Low Voltage Switchgear, UPS, PDU to support data center construction schedules. Key Accountabilities Ownership of Data Center electrical equipment procurement for sites with North America. Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Project Management, and Finance to align procurement with design, budget, and site needs.
