• Responsible for the execution of all activities of the electrical departments within the division • Schedule, organize, direct and review all electrical resources and activities • Provide enhanced customer support as a technical liaison • Identify resource and staffing needs, lead recruiting and interviews, onboard new team members • Direct and provide technical guidance to the electrical departments • Establish and execute operational plans for the department • Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for technical work in the department • Research and stay current on emerging engineering design software and industry best practices • Supervise and review preparation of engineering proposals including scopes of work, project schedules and cost estimates • Promote Orbital’s safety culture through active safety engagements

• Provide engineering consultation for compliance with FAA and industry standards and best practices • Provide recommendations for solutions in all phases of the system’s lifecycle including: contract, policy, site survey, design and design review, and implementation • Perform power system studies: load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, protective device coordination analysis, arc flash risk assessment, and harmonic analysis • Maintain documentation of power system studies for official government records • Participate in process improvements with other peers and clients • Participate in the development, administration, management, logistics, and strategy of project planning and implementation • Develop solutions to complex engineering problems using MATLAB/COMSOL/EDSA/SKM and/or other engineering design tools • Manage National Change Proposal, Configuration Control Board process, and departmental website

Position Description: CLP Engineering (CLPE) is seeking an Electrical Tester (Testing Technician I) to join our Testing Team to perform mid/entry level inspections, testing, and maintaining electrical power equipment; Seeking a candidate with 2-4 years of experience who is available for up to 75% travel. Due to the nature of our work as a Federal Contractor, candidates must be a US Citizen. The Electrical Tester will work with electrical equipment, such as SF6 & vacuum circuit breakers, pad mount transformers/GSU transformers, grounding, instrument transformers, and variance of switches both manual and motor operated. Colorado-based is preferred, however the Electrical Tester position can be located at other CLP Engineering locations, or remote in a state where CLP Engineering is registered Key Responsibilities: Perform mid/entry level testing of High, Medium, and Low voltage electrical power equipment under supervision. Testing on apparatus includes breakers, transformers, CT’s, PT’s, cables, and grounding. Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment and components in a substation. Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and Engineering Personnel in order to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and determine optimum equipment functioning. Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests, repairs, and maintenance performed. Knowledge and understanding of practical application of electrical theory and hazards in order to perform the job requirements successfully and safely.
