Role Description The role is simple: you wear a headstrap with your phone, press record, and go about your day. The footage is captured hands-free from your perspective, so you can keep both hands on whatever you are doing. - Contributors record everyday activities and real work, including: - Household life: doing tasks around the house, cooking, cleaning, organizing, repairs, and other daily routines. - On the job: filming while you do your actual job, whether you work in manufacturing, roofing, construction, a restaurant kitchen, a warehouse, or any other hands-on trade. - Everyday activities: the small, ordinary moments that make up a normal day, captured naturally as they happen. There is no script and no acting. The whole point is authentic, real footage of real life. If you can do your job and your daily tasks, you can do this. Qualifications - Must be based in Indonesia & Malaysia. - Must be 18 years or older. - Need a supported phone: iPhone 11 or newer, Google Pixel 6 or newer, or Samsung Galaxy S21 or newer. - Comfortable wearing a lightweight headstrap while working or moving around the house. - A minimum of 10 hours of recorded footage per week is preferred. Requirements - Submit your application and confirm you have a supported phone. - We provide a budget to purchase the headstrap. - Capture at least 10 hours of footage a week, on your own schedule. - Upload your footage through the app for review and payment. Role Description As an Expert Audio Transcriber, you will convert audio recordings of native Tagalog speakers into precise, conventionally formatted written transcripts. Your work will directly impact the quality of speech recognition, dialogue systems, and AI evaluation products used by major AI labs. You will work with diverse audio sources ranging from clean studio recordings to natural conversations in real-world settings, applying expert linguistic judgment to ensure exceptional transcription accuracy and consistency. - Focus on Tagalog and Filipino as spoken across Luzon and Metro Manila, including Taglish (natural Tagalog-English code-switching) - Audio reflects everyday conversational speech, slang, and regional variations across Tagalog-speaking provinces - Primary speaker regions include Metro Manila, Luzon, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Bulacan Key Responsibilities - Transcribe audio recordings into accurate, time-aligned written text following Perle’s project-specific style guides - Apply correct conventions for speaker identification, overlapping speech, disfluencies, fillers, false starts, and non-speech events - Make principled orthographic decisions for dialectal, colloquial, and code-switched speech - Flag ambiguous segments, uncertain speakers, and audio quality issues using project conventions - Self-review all submissions against Perle’s quality standards before delivery - Collaborate with QA reviewers on calibration sessions, edge cases, and style guide updates Qualifications - Native fluency in Tagalog with lifelong residence or deep immersion in the Philippines - Strong working English proficiency to accurately handle Taglish code-switching - Mastery of current Filipino orthography under the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino guidelines - Familiarity with regional Tagalog accents and contemporary slang - At least 2 years of professional transcription experience - Experience in captioning, court reporting, broadcast, translation, or linguistic annotation - Demonstrated word-level accuracy under deadline pressure - Comfortable using web-based annotation platforms - Comfortable working with variable-speed audio playback tools - Reliable high-speed internet connection - Quality headphones and a quiet working environment - Ability to commit to a defined weekly workload during active project phases Preferred Qualifications - Background in Filipino linguistics, journalism, translation, education, or broadcast media - Prior experience working with Tagalog or Philippine-language speech datasets - Working knowledge of Cebuano, Ilocano, or Hiligaynon - Familiarity with IPA or phonetic transcription systems - Experience with verbatim and clean-verbatim transcription standards Benefits - Paid pilot task before full onboarding to ensure mutual fit - Competitive compensation based on audio complexity and turnaround requirements - Flexible scheduling aligned with active project demand - Direct collaboration with Perle’s linguistic leads and QA teams - Opportunities to join additional expert-level AI and language projects across related domains Location Remote - Philippines Preferred Employment Type Contract/Freelance About the Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, linguistically precise, culturally aware, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced AI production environment. • Evaluate advanced scientific reasoning produced by state-of-the-art AI systems • Assess multi-step derivations, proofs, theoretical arguments, and domain-specific outputs • Identify subtle conceptual flaws or logical inconsistencies • Provide research-grade corrective feedback

• Lead design, review, and supervision of electrical systems including LV/MV distribution, lighting, power, earthing, ELV (fire alarm, CCTV, BMS, access control), and emergency lighting. • Perform detailed electrical load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop, short circuit, and earthing calculations. • Prepare and review Material Submittals, Method Statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) ensuring compliance with specifications and consultant/client requirements. • Review and approve Shop Drawings, ensuring design intent, specification compliance, and authority regulations (DEWA, Dubai Municipality). • Review consultant design drawings, verify applicability, and ensure proper coordination with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and ID drawings before implementation. • Ensure full compliance of all electrical works with project specifications, DEWA regulations, BS 7671, IEC standards, and Dubai Green Building Regulations. • Apply strong expertise in: Low Voltage & Medium Voltage Systems, Lighting & Small Power Distribution, Earthing & Lightning Protection, ELV Systems (Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, BMS Integration), Emergency & Backup Power Systems (Generators, UPS). • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during construction and commissioning phases. • Oversee testing, commissioning, and energization of electrical systems, ensuring zero snags at handover. • Identify critical design areas, review drawings, and initiate RFIs/RFCs to resolve gaps and conflicts early. • Provide commercial and technical input, including cost-cutting and value engineering solutions while maintaining quality and performance. • Coordinate with Architects, Interior Designers, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and other trades for seamless MEP integration. • Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and DEWA inspectors for approvals and technical clarifications. • Prepare and present technical reports, progress updates, and risk registers to senior management and clients.

• Manage and control all MEP-related documents (shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, method statements, test reports, as-built drawings, O&M manuals). • Ensure proper version control, numbering, and distribution of documents to relevant teams, consultants, and authorities. • Prepare, compile, and submit material submittals, shop drawings, and technical packages for MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting) to consultants and authorities (DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence). • Track document status, approvals, rejections, and comments using document management systems (Aconex, Procore, or similar). • Maintain accurate document registers, transmittals, and logs for MEP drawings and correspondence. • Coordinate with MEP engineers, site teams, and subcontractors to collect updated documents and resolve discrepancies. • Ensure all documents comply with project specifications, ISO 9001 standards, and UAE authority requirements. • Prepare and organize handover documentation packages including as-built drawings, test certificates, and O&M manuals. • Conduct regular document audits and ensure traceability for quality assurance and client audits. • Support project closeout by compiling final MEP documentation and obtaining necessary approvals.
