National Key Account Manager – Retail

• Driving market development and full account management for major Home Improvement retailers in Denmark and Norway, aiming to build and strengthen commercial partnerships across the DIY and Professional channels. • Applying category management principles to range reviews, developing robust activation plans, and designing seasonal initiatives to enhance 3M’s product visibility and performance across key categories and peak sales periods. • Managing the execution of key account strategies to deliver strategic objectives defined through the channel planning process. • Collaborating with the Channel Shopper Marketing team to analyze retailer strategies, shopper insights, and market data, ensuring effective and impactful in-store execution.

Job Requirements

  • Proven success in account management within Home Improvement, FMCG Retail, or Consumer Electronics sectors, delivering business growth and new customer development through a profitable sales and margin mix.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute annual joint business plans in collaboration with customers to drive shared growth.
  • Strong understanding of retail category management principles and their application to influence product assortment and ranging decisions.
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset with a “challenger and hunter” approach; able to perform under pressure while maintaining focus on growth opportunities and continuous improvement.
  • Fluent in Danish and highly proficient in English (both written and verbal).
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, with proven ability to manage and interpret complex data analytics.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business-related field.
  • Experience and training in GAP Negotiation or equivalent negotiation frameworks.
  • Ability to speak Norwegian considered an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with sales management platforms such as Salesforce (or equivalent), including planning and tracking sales and business performance.
