Procurement Operations Manager
Vantage Data Centers
• Supervise and manage the Procurement Source to Pay system, ensuring its accuracy, consistency and data integrity for purchase order placement, issuance, and maintenance. • Manage, mentor, and guide operations analysts who will work continuously with procurement teams ensuring all equipment orders are placed timely and completely so that our programs support business opportunities and projects are delivered on time. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve and maintain processes and procedures within the procurement department. • Maintain financial management of the department’s inventory program, yearly spending, cash flow forecasts, and reconciliation. • Coordinate with vendors on continuous quality improvement of invoice process and inventory management data. • Develop multi-year cash flow plans and reconcile these monthly. • Manage financial data from various software systems and implement them into one report. • Learn and manage the financial software to enter PO’s, review invoices, track budgets, allocate equipment from purchases to projects. • Support Procurement Managers, Finance, and Accounting with invoicing issues. • Properly evaluate and update inventory for soft and hard allocation of OFCI equipment. • Help direct invoices to the appropriate Procurement team members for approval in a timely manner. • Update established change order and savings trackers, then develop a plan to better implement this into a new process. • Develop proper tax and tariff reporting processes. • Help develop and maintain record keeping and reports for the business. • Work with compliance to maintain the department and vendors are within guidelines. • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity of the procurement process with other department requirements. • Work with finance and compliance departments to ensure all purchases have appropriate documentation. • Maintain, track, and report on inventory budgets, capital expenditure, and KPI’s • Present financial metrics and analysis to project managers, department leaders, and on occasion, business executives. • Investigate and work with vendors to make sure invoices are submitted on timely basis, according to the terms and conditions of agreement, and paid for in timely manner • Support open and transparent communication with project teams and departments • Assist in management and support equipment inventory planning, price evaluation, industry metrics, and forecasting • Manage and support 1-3 Procurement Cost Analysts who will support project costing exercises while simultaneously performing department level tasks.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in finance, accounting, quantity surveying, construction science, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience, is required.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in a financial, accounting, or supply chain role is required.
- Ability to manage a team of 1-3 data or cost analysts.
- Aptitude to learn quickly and self-instruct.
- Strong business acumen with a strong commercial background is required.
- Knowledge of ERP tools, financial/ accounting software, and data analytics tools is required.
- Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization software is preferred.
- Strong presentation, public speaking, communication, and soft skills required.
- Data Center, commercial, or industrial equipment experience is ideal but not required.
